Yes, the story will be permanent after the event ends, and you'll be able to find it in the Special Episode list as "Virtual Revenge". The rest of the event seems to be just combat challenges that unlock after Yanagi's Special Episode, so if you don't mind missing the event rewards related to it then you'll miss nothing by not doing the story now

I don't have Black Swan and Sparkle, could i use any F2P substitutes for them? I have Acheron and Kafka as the only other 5 stars besides Dr.Ratio and the Trailblazer.

Yes, you could run a different team than mine since this team I made here was more for themed gameplay. For what you have, I'd recommend an Acheron teams like: Trailblazer or other Sustain/Acheron/Kafka/Sampo or Guinaifen Trailblazer or other Sustain/Acheron/Pela/Guinaifen or other nihility If you didn't want to use Acheron you could use a DOT team such as: Sustain/Kafka/Sampo or Guinaifen/Asta Regardless of what team you use, there are no limit on cycles in Equilibrium tests so if you find yourself losing with those teams still I'd recommend swapping someone out besides Acheron and Kafka, and bringing an additional sustain to slowly chip away at each fight (or use consumables to help boost you).

It's still random like all other companions, but at minimum you have to clear the Trailblaze Mission: "Silent Galaxy in the Chapter In the Sweltering Morning Sun" to get the chance of her showing up
