Nice summary. I like the rules changes but the army lists will be building is a shambles because the armies of lists are really a different movie focused thematic idea as opposed to actual lists.

How bad were the gaps in the models? Ive heard some have really bad ones due to the press fit.

1:34 the color of the plastic is what I was curious beforehand (grey vs colored). I figured since the set a president with the Rivals of the Mirrored City box also being all colored, so my guess was that these would be too.

I am looking at picking these up to add some flavor to my 40k death guard army, maybe as objective markers or to add some flavor to vehicles, like a rhino or land raider. Thanks for the close ups.

A potential upgrade for future videos: I always love 360's to get a better idea of what the mini's look like. You can use to relatively cheap turn table thingies. Sometimes mini's are easier to "read" without any paint on, so you can show them of unpainted no worries.

You can definitely use them as unit champs or characters in AoS, but I understand what you mean about them not having specific rules. Probably better for the health of the (competitive side of the) game to minimize unit bloat.

First time I’ve seriously considered trying Underworlds.

I'm considering getting this, but mainly to use the Skaven guys for Blood Bowl. Edward Scissor Paws would be the apothecary, the guy with the rifle is the hired wizard, the little bomb rat will be the mascot (when I replace the bomb with a football), and the mini-doomwheel is a Star Player.

These Red Gobbos are always fun models, be do also remind me how close we get to playing the Grot Revolutionary Committee in 40k, only to have just out of reach. Sure, Dredd Mob gets you close, but the out-of-printing of the Grot Tanks and Megatank make it difficult to properly pull off.

Out of curiosity, do those new warband faction cards fit inside the old single warband boxes? Just wondering if they'll be able to keep that packaging.

I posted this on another channel but stand by my statement. Such a shame. I played warmachine 20yrs ago and loved it. I came back to the hobby 6yrs ago and have looked at Warmachine serveral times, but the number one thing (and only thing) that puts me off is that the models are still metal or 3D printed, im not a fan of either medium. When you move over more to hard plastic i will be definitely investing in the game. Ok just looked into it a bit more. No physical rulebook is a massive turn off for me. I suffer from dyslexia and reading the rules off the phone/table is just a massive turn off. I like to go though the book and highlight rules and put notes on the margins so i can get my head around. I would have rather seen a starter set that was £20-£30 more that included the basic rules in a booklet form, and some dice and tokens would have been nice. Make it a proper starter set not a half baked model kit that has the models and nothing else. This kit would be great if it was rebranded as a battle box rather than a starter box. You could then expand the range with other battle boxes and do something very similar to GWs Spearhead or Combat Patrols. What will get me into the game is as follows: More hard plastics models Physical Rule Book More starter sets (rebranded as battle boxes) with other factions. And finally a proper starter set see above for that. Steamforge in from the uk and I want to support a company from my country, but youve dropped the ball on this one. Such a shame

Hope this helps with reviving Warmachine. It’s a good game overall and I think it’s better for the wargaming community to have variety.

If you want to play kill team, buy hivestorm. If you want these teams or a very lite version of kill team buy this.

I believe the first UK release of the Death Guard boxes was in a pack of 6 without the Plaguecaster, second release was definitely in a pack of 8 with the Plaguecaster and a double of the bolter guy.

Perhaps the best starter of any system GW has made! I think it’s good that the full rules aren’t included, to stop confusion! I’ll probably print out the more complicated data cards, and cut out and paste the extra info into the pamphlet!

First hard plastic since they launched the new edition of Warmachine, but Privateer Press did have some hard plastic Warjacks in the previous edition. I’ll be interested to see how the new ones compare. These look good.

Got this coming on the weekend. Really looking forward to getting some Thallax on the field with my Iron Hands. I'd love to see a 'Brethren of Iron' Formation that allowed a limited range of Mechanicum units (Thallax, Castellax, Vorax, Domitar) to be used alongside Astartes units, maybe giving the marine HQ the Battlesmith rule.
