The garlic shown being used is 'hardneck' or fall-sown garlic. Garlic grown in China and imported to North America is typically 'softneck' garlic. If you buy garlic grown in Spain or Canada it will usually be the hardneck type, and you can easily tell by that stiff stem that remains in the middle of the bulb.

I wish I could grow a cucumber trellis like in the video. The melons are green and attractive. In the summer, eating this type of melon during meals is very cool and cools the body.
