I listened to/watched all the bands I loved very much live. After a while, I started not being able to discover new bands. I started listening to only the new albums of the bands I loved the most. During my university years, I used to wear headphones and think that I would continue like this until I died. But it turns out that our priorities are changing. When listening to a song or even an album, you need to spend time on it. Just because it's playing in the background while you're busy with something doesn't mean that you've listened to that song. At least for me, that's how it is. If possible, I need to close my eyes and focus only on what I hear. I think you should do the same. This song is the first thing that comes to mind when I say ‘what should I listen to?’ and it's something that takes the necessity out of discovering new things. It's a 17-minute ‘thing’. And I love every second of it. I've listened to Steven Wilson live, but one of the things I said I would go to with my eyes open if I died would be not being able to listen to this song live. It probably won't happen, but maybe it will remain in my mind as a goal to hold on to to life. I felt like writing this, hoping that I'll edit it in the future.
