You should test them in real world scenarios, in circuits, on cables etc.

In this video we show why some probes have a much lower contact resistance in this specific case. In real-world usage it matters much less. When the sharp probe tip is applied with some force, the oxidation on the metal breaks away.

The 2 requirements of high-quality vapor phase reflow are STABLE TEMPERATURE PROFILE AT BOARD (support flux activation and reduce thermal shock consequences) and VACUUM (extract air voids from solder joints, ideally <50mbar). I assume this unit is designed without a vacuum system and without secondary stabilizing features (ex. mechanical lift/lower) and priced accordingly, suitable for prototyping and commercial-grade low-volume PCBA.

This is a desktop prototyping and small batch production machine indeed. It provides more consistent results than similar convection ovens.

96x96 or 120x90 pix would also be sufficient for my purposes. The cheapest I saw was the VOLTCRAFT WB-80 with 32x32 🤔 maybe a better infrared thermometer, but with camera and removable standard batteries for 110€ 2 months ago. 😥 But I own a multimeter of this Conrad brand, so I won't a thermal camera either.😉

@@AkkustikSynth 32 x 32 pixels is extremely low res compared to 256x192. For me 32 x 32 is a toy, not a tool. Battery lifetime of the Guide is very good. If, after 5 years or so the battery is old, it can be replaced by an electronics repair man. It is a simple 18650 cell. Removable battery is a nice to have, but not a must have in my opinion.

Do you think the tweezer is small enough to handle tightly spaced 0201s? It seems to me that the smallest cartridge (I'm assuming you are using the smallest which is the 0.5l) is still too large for 0201s... is that correct?

Depends on the spacing between the 0201s. With a 0.5mm diameter tip there is approx 0.1mm overhang on both sides if you center the tips to the part. I estimate that you need at least 0.3 mm between two 0201s, otherwise it will be very hard. If you run into such issues, you can choose the JBC NASE. It offers 0.1mm tips on the tweezer.

My OWON SPE6103 had 2.31 v of spikes on a 12v output with no load. Unusable for electronics. It must have been a reject.

I cannot say enough about the FR-301 - I run a business with mine, and it's been left on for DAYS at a time (by accident), and aside from burning up the tip coating, it was completely unscathed.

My first soldering job, I used the ELE-ATS1 soldering station showed in this video, a led magnifier, flux, braid, and that Japanese solder sucker. Hi, unfortunately the cartridges of atten st 1509 are not compatible with atten gt 6150 station. Atten st 1509 station are compatible with both t9100 hot tweezers and n100 hot tweezers instead gt 6150 station are compatible only with n100 hot tweezers. For st 1509 station with t9100 hot tweezers are so many cartridges available as t9100-0.2i, t9100-a6010, t9100-a3001, t9100-0601, t9100-0,5i, t9100-1.3d, t9100-2.2d, t9100-0301 and t9100-100 and so on... For gt 6150 station are only available 4 type of cartridges as n100-0.5i, n100-1.3d, n100-2.2d and n100-1.0i. So for me at the moment atten st 1509 with t9100 hot tweezers are much more better the gt 6150 with n100 hot tweezers. If atten will make compatible t9100 cartridges with n100 then the gt 6150 will be the best hot tweezers station on the market in terms of quality/price.

Atten ST-series is a great investment as well. Atten is however investing a lot into the GT platform. New products are coming, so many new tips can be expected for the GT line.

You gotta be trolling the viewers..I will only be showing the footage from the garbage low res Air model and I wont inform why I dont show the footage of the two flagship models Guide shipped, and I wont give the data so possible eleshop-buyers can see the 50k pix-resolution and their autofocus and how Guide's clean algoritme works on their autofocus units, and an algoritm that Guide is pretty good at in the 200/210 and how it actually works in these products why I wont show all the critical things to our viewer.., I wont explain... because Im from Eleshop in Holland.. we love to play dirty and dishonest with our chinese gifted freebies.. Mindbending level from Eleshop 3:35 There are hundreds of videos on YT of the garbage Air model. but close to none of the Mobir2S and 2T.' The 2Tand 2S is around 250US atm with incl. 25% VAT, and tried to see if I could gte insight into if its worth it, hence the autofocus, as fixed focus 192x256 atm goes for around 150, so a lot higher for the 2S and 2T here at singles day. but fixed focus really limits it, without a manual focus adjuster, and here autofocus could be great if it works good and we could see at what distances it can muster... whatever.... sad level from Eleshop.. maybe just be honest next time, and explain the reason why you excluding the most valued info/feature on dongled thermal microbolometer cameras (autofocus) if its bec ause you actually didnt got them, then say so and meet your viewers with some diginity...
