@@pedernalesvalleycountry This was my only time to attend one of their events, but my understanding is that they do usually meet monthly and it is open to anyone to play. There is also a monthly steel guitar meeting in Victoria and a monthly TSGA meeting in the Dallas area. Since I'm not a steel player myself, there might be more that I don't know about. I found out about this one from the Steel Guitar Forum event announcement page.
