Only in America! In other parts of the world most C-47s/Dakotas/DC3s are restored to static display condition only due to the enormous cost involved and access to spare parts, especially engine parts. I followed the restoration of "That's All, Brother", a fascinating story of a historical discovery, determination, and restoration of an important part of America's military history.

the same reason why a p15 sounds slightly lower pitched than this one. different sirens sound different even if they have the same port ratio

How do you start a train? One car at a time. Stopping is sometimes important, when spotting cars as well. I was taught that principal, by a Locomotive Engineer who once had a seat, on the Right side of the Cab, on the Empire Builder for a while before the end..... You are correct about sticky brakes.....
