If we had to pick a team which actually played together, then 1978-1979, takes some beating. Clemence, Neal, Thompson, Hansen, Hughes, Case, McDermott, Souness, R Kennedy, Dalglish and Heighway, also featuring A Kennedy andJohnson. Most of that team were in their prime and easily the best side in Europe, even allowing for those upstarts from Nottingham, who interrupted a run of European cups 🤣
