Out of curiosity, what lavalier microphone do you have clipped to your shirt? Is that the Sony stereo one? I've had trouble with some lavalier mics and the Ulanzi AM18. As for being able to see the display on the Ulanzi, if you get a Neewer UA030 cold shoe adapter, it will let you turn the base unit towards you so you can see the display on the AM18.
@GareyCooperdude11 күн бұрын
Good call! Yes it is the Sony stereo mic...rock solid, a bit on the expensive side when compared with so many others out there...but you just know Sony makes good gear. I'm good to look up that Neewer unit you recommend, thanks so. much for the advice!

Hey Garey! Just curious, what did you end up using as your solution for the adhesive not working well?

Gosh, sorry just seeing this.....I hate to say it but I used some gorilla glue, not elegant but it does the job! I also think that the compound curves of the K6 make it hard for the standard adhesive to work......

Hi Garey, a couple of observations….you appeared to have the chrome magnets closed whilst the jacket was on the hanger charging? I never do this, as you’re actually activating the jacket as soon as the magnets make contact…..secondly, just before the camera died, you did the jacket up and didn’t close the magnetic switch…..not sure if you then unzipped the jacket a little, closed the magnets, and then still experienced the problem, but if not, then the jacket isn’t then activated/not ready to ride with. I’ve not watched Pt2 yet, so perhaps this covers my comments above?….I’m now having a separate issue where my jacket is no longer responding to plugging in the USB-C charger cable, no buzzes, lights, nothing….cable and PSU are definitely good, they work fine with my phone/ipad/Beeline nav…
@GareyCooperdude15 күн бұрын
so sorry but just seeing this! One of my pet peeves on this jacket is the USB B connector and the difficulty in getting it to line up and stay connected. If I had to guess it would be that you have some sort of mechanical issue with the connector? Be interested to hear what you did find out? Regarding the magnets being closed, yeah...totally should leave them disconnected when charging!

Great video 👍 Stunning looking bike. I had to make the decision between the 2023 Panigale v4 and the 2023 Streetfighter V4s this year. Agreed re ergonomics, that’s me in my profile pic and after a few mins on the Pani I felt uncomfortable. Doable for a few hours, yes, but, the heat would get to me first 😂 So i went with the SFV4s in grey/nero. 90% the performance speed wise, better handling on twisties or in town, warm but not leg searingly hot and in my option looks way meaner 😈 very slight difference in the gearing/mapping which makes her feel more power at speeds under 70mph/110kmph. The Pani only felt alive after 70.

@GareyCooperdude2 ай бұрын
No I have not, it does run hot in the summer.....I wouldn't want to spend extended periods of time at a stoplight, but I don't ride in traffic generally so I am perhaps not the best source for how it might do in traffic stopping at multiple lights.

I have the same jacket. When I connect it to the computer and check to see if there's an update it always tells me it's update with the latest firmware version 1.4.2. I've had mine since 2021 and I may have had one update since then. I can't find anything on the website that allows you to download the latest firmware. I could take it to the Dainese shop in Tokyo again but not sure they'll work on it as I didn't purchase it there. The last time I took it in they mentioned that I would have to send it back to the US since I purchased it online. I hope this gets resolved for you quickly.

Not sure why everybody praises the "low down torque" on the Tuono, I find it very viby/choppy, almost unusable under 3k rpm, maybe even 4k, and combined with the tall 1st gear. I find myself dropping to 2nd and sometimes even 1st gear on mountain roads where I used to keep my old z900 in 3rd.
@fossmarkluni4 ай бұрын
I agree, it's not a very flexible engine in that manner. I don't enjoy my Tuono at all when the speed is below 60 km/h / 37 mph, so I avoid city riding as much as I can. It needs 3,5-4k plus rpm to thrive. But it really shines at higher rpm all the way to the 12,5k redline, and then it's absolutely fantastic!
@GareyCooperdude4 ай бұрын
There is a bit of subjectivity to these impressions I must admit. However when I say "low down torque" I don't necessarily means it's the smoothest down at low rpm's. I just mean that it will pull well from down there. If I'm riding in traffic I hate shuffling through the gear box...and my impression is that you don't need to do so that much on the Tuono. BUT, in my long memory bikes have come a long-long way so my impressions might be quite different to yours. In any case I appreciate the comments and perspectives of y'all.
@chillznax28 күн бұрын
Dude! I totally agree. I feel it’s weak below 3k rpm. The reviews I’ve seen compared to the Ducati Street Fighter make it sound like the Tuono has tons more torque. I’d hate to see how low the torque is on the street fighter. My buddies Super Duke has ridiculous torque down low. He can pull in 5th gear at like 35 mph. That would absolutely lug the engine on the Tuono.

@@GareyCooperdude To be clear, our HOA management company had the gate vendor program the exit gate so remote control can open it, it is just service call for the HOA, no big issue at all, all lift master gates can be program at the exit as well. I then bought a remote and programmed it according to the instructions they gave me. I also have a tag to get out of the entry gate, but it is a blind corner in my case a safety hazard, I find once you tell the HOA it is safety hazard, they program the exit gate real quick :)
