I have this problem and have been dealing with it for over 5 years now. I have already been taking 1mg of Dutasteride and 5mg of oral minoxidil for awhile now (about a year or less) and still losing hair. Would microneedling my entire head even be an option? Also I thought about adding Ru58841 and topical melatonin to my stack. Good or bad idea?
@Kyle_Bu
@Kyle_Bu 10 сағат бұрын
I wouldn't do that dude. Microneedling is only good for increasing absorption of topical products. It has no real growth properties and actually damages your scalp long term even at lower mm. And no, RU isn't worth it. Just get a scalp biopsy and wait for the results. Center your focus on scalp health and taking care of it (like the video says. use the timestamps).

not sure if i have DUPA? My entire top scalp and hairline is thinning but the hairline is not slick bald, and my side burns are thinning slightly. The balding happened quite quickly too, checking back photos, seems like I am balding since 19, and by 21 i am a norwood 4 based on the crown and hairline thinning. Fin has completely recovered my side burns though, and i have good regrowth on all areas with fin and min. I do have extremely oily scalp that inflames very easily so I use keto shampoo 2x per week and wash 2x daily

Such a great and informative video! I have been battling androgenetic alopecia since 2013 and in 2022 my hairloss ramped up. I got on Finasteride, Spironolactone, Oral minoxidil and ketoconazole shampoo with no improvement. Started dutasteride alongside with the other treatments and eliminated all dht in my system and my hair only got worse. Had a 2nd biopsy done in September and my biopsy noted Lichen planopilaris but my dermatologist noted she did not notice symptoms of lichen planopilaris during her exam. Now to figure out what to do for treatment and hoping I can stop my hairloss and regrow some of my hair.

@@lanoreblack3388 Thanks! This is an issue with many dermatologists. Some conditions, like LPP, can be "silent" as in they don't cause itching or inflammatory issues. Nevertheless, it still damages the hair follicle due to prolonged inflammatory factors. You should consider using Pioglitazone 15mg to start daily. Talk to your doctor about this of course. That and using Calcipotriol 0.005% and Clobetasol propionate 0.05% as topical solutions daily. Oral Minoxidil 2.5mg to 5mg daily (splitting the dose you pick in half throughout the day to limit side effects) should also help. In 6 months to a year there should be some progress. Continuing your spiro and maybe dutasteride ? Should be enough on the DHT side of things. But yeah good luck! This is all available in the literature. I'm not sure why people don't point this out often. There is a solution. You just need to act sooner for better results rather than later.

Just wanna name a few things for starting treatments that may help that aren't so "hardcore". High correlation between low lvls of vitamin d3 and autoimmune issues. Antihistamines have been found to be helpful for AA and LPP. Low doses of doxycycline or isotretinoin for lpp. You mentioned this one, Naltrexone. I'm highlighting these because, they're cheap and have a good safety profile. A lot of the other treatments, you run into problems where it can't be used indefinitely, it's expensive, and higher health risks. But to be clear, if your condition is bad enough. It'll likely require these other options but because cheaper and safer usually means weaker.

Hello, could you answer the question, I took Dut for 4 months at 0.5 mg, then switched to 2.5 mg, a month after switching to 2.5 mg, severe hair loss began, which has been going on for 2 months now (hair is falling out all over my head, including miniature hair), during this time the hairline has thinned. In total, I take Dut (7 months, 4-0.5 mg, 3-2.5 mg). In addition, I have chronic seborrheic dermatitis, which I am trying to treat, but dandruff and small white plaques are still present, no shampoos or ointments help. Could you tell me, is this a normal reaction, that at 0.5 there was no hair loss, but at 2.5 it appeared and does not stop, or maybe you made a video about this? Thanks in advance for your answer
@Kyle_Bu
@Kyle_Bu Күн бұрын
@@dfdfsfgnbvbnvnvinogradov I don't think you're having this issue because of Dutasteride. You're dealing with something that might be microbial. You should go get a KOH skin test done. But if you want something to do now consider 1. Ketoconazole shampoo three times a week. But make sure you use a moisturizer and conditioner for your hair while you're in the shower. 2. Nizoral psoriasis shampoo and conditioner. This is a really good formulation. Be sure to use this with the ketoconazole. 3. Benzoyl peroxide shampoo at 10% used along side the ketoconazole three times a week. Be careful because it can bleach your clothes. 4. Ciclopirox shampoo 1% twice a week. This will kill any fungal colonies that could be causing issues with your scalp. Make this a sort of routine to fight off whatever is causing you sebderm. You could even consider using Clobetasol propionate shampoo as well twice a week. Over time this should help. Good luck and always talk to a doctor.

Hello I'm enjoying the video interesting. I saw a dermatologist who make trichoscopy, trichotest and biopsy. He told me it's not necessary to make a biopsy because he know what i have. Because i have a folliculite he took some sample to analyse it and if it's bacteriologic or something else. He proposed me to make next week a trichotest. 220€. I don't know if it worth it. To see Which treatment is working on me. I will have a personal treatment but I'm afraid it's only bullshit. What do you think. I'm under 2,5 mg of dut and 5mg of finasteride and i had some progress but i have the impression that I'm still losing ground. He told me all my hairs on my scalp are single follicule, meaning that all of them are already miniutarized.... I dont know if after 5 years of dut i will boost them. 1 year of 2,5 mg and 6 month of 0,5 mg dut before.
@Kyle_Bu

Hello! Thanks for the support ! I'm not sure why the dermatologist is giving troubles about a biopsy. But, if you trust his assessment then sure. I'm more of a person the prefers to have more conclusive evidence than just a physician's visual assessments. So, if you're like me, I would still push for the biopsy. But for something like folliculitis, that should be easy to tell my just looking at it so I would be in agreement here. If you aren't sure whether or not you're improving or losing ground, I would consider the trichotest. Did you get worse on dutasteride?

I would consider using Dutasteride in your case. If you have a lot of oil production, It would probably be worth checking your diet and if you're eating things high in cholesterol and triglycerides. You can ask your doctor for a KOH skin test on your scalp to see which microbes are causing issues. Finally, biopsy is a more conclusive assessment of your scalp condition. Also, I don't think its worth it or even healthy to be on a purely carnivore diet. This is pretty risky.

I have a theory that the culprit for hair loss is inflammation. Its not entirely dht because women lose hair and dht is less of a problem for them. Some people still lose hair on fin and dut so its not dht 100%. Dht itself causes inflammation in the hair follicle. IL-6, TNF-α. Finasteride and dutasteride are anti inflammatory. Thats why autoimmune are still prescribed it. Minoxidil, guess what? its anti inflammatory. A few studies about antihistamines having some benefits to alopecia. Another anti inflammatory lol

If you're using this everyday, even at a "low concentration" it will have consistent effects that will eventually tip your endogenous thyroid hormones out of balance. That's one thing I wouldn't play around with considering how higher thyroid hormone causes grey hair, hair loss, and lots of oxidative stress. Yes even locally. I haven't looked into luteolin and ellagic acid. So no comment there. Good luck 🕊️

I had a consultation and bought the topical testosterone propionate cream via Dr Abs website. It didn’t work for my skin and his staff stopped communicating with me via email and I was also banned from his Skool group for raising questions. It’s a money making scam.

Those who are considering banning Finasteride for baldness; I'm wondering what you recommend for prostate enlargement?

I started Fin as 1mg with the complaint of prostate enlargement. I don't have much expectation for hair, I am already bald. But the hypercusis, which started in the 2nd week, continued gradually and is now at an unbearable level. I took a break from the medication. Low libido, sperm liquefaction, etc. were things I expected. I would not stop taking the medication for these, but this hypercusis really made me sick. If there is another solution for my prostate enlargement, I am open to your advice.

@serhatsoydas226 hyperacusis? You probably have a mental issue or you're dealing with something in your environment. There's no way finasteride causes this as a side effect. Please don't add new side effects simply because you coincidentally started feeling this "side effect" after finasteride. It may very well be in your head: Nocebo effect.

@@Kyle_Buyou need to get some serious mental help brother. You’re so damn obsessed w hair and drug you ignore that this drug causes a condition that has caused young men suicide. You say it’s Nocebo you’re literally the only experiencing this with your denial of reality. Wake up. Stop being in a cult. You’re contributing to the down fall of men and don’t even see it. A sad excuse of a man.
