I've made these several times and I'm getting ready to do so again tonight. After having these, I prefer mine to Texas Roadhouse or Chili's, maybe because theirs sit so long before anyone orders them, I don't know, but these are so good, why spend the money at a restaurant.

This is the perfect recipe!! Thank you so much for sharing this technique. I just made it last night following all of your steps (even served it over riced cauliflower, which I love) and the chicken turned out perfectly!! It was very well-seasoned, juicy, falling off the bone. Just delicious!!! Thank you again!

Note: don't use Canola oil EVER. It's one of the BAD oils. Yes to Avocado, yes to coconut oil and yes to grassfed ghee.. all are good for cooking. and Olive oil is better for use in dressings or at the very end of sauces after you take it off the heat. Olive oil has the lower boiling pt but is still good for you .. make sure it is genuine olive oil. Look this up on youtube if you need help knowing which ones are all real olive oil and which ones say olive oil but are actually fakes and bad for you. And hey this is a great quick vid with a great recipe!! Thanks Mr. Elmore!
@RodRElmore4 ай бұрын
It is my understanding that Canola oil is one of the healthiest cooking oils available, with zero trans fat and the lowest amount of saturated fat of all common cooking oils.

Just curious if you're using a metal rack why do the ribs have to stand up instead of laying flat
@PDXTundra7 ай бұрын
Because the full slab is too long for the ribs to lay flat in the Instant Pot. Geometric shapes and equations. Remember?
@mrobvious11007 ай бұрын
@@PDXTundra geometric shapes okay let's try this one I can take an 18-inch rectangle and cut it in half and half 2/9 inch rectangles side by side
@mrobvious110011 ай бұрын
do people really like their ribs so tender that it slides off? it's actually a pot roast versus picking up the bone and having a little pull.. when I watch the Texas brisket and Rib challenges, they always talk about color and a good chew
@PDXTundra7 ай бұрын
Yes, some people do. Obviously, @mrobvious1100 it’s called cooking to one’s own liking without fear or worrying about wtf other people like you might think. Some people want it fall-off, some people like a little pull. At the end of the day, nobody really gives AF.

Can we stop with the best ribs I ever had. That is unless you have not have ribs in a smoker with Hickory..
@PDXTundra7 ай бұрын
Why can’t he be a free thinker and not worry about what your opinion may be? Why are you so obsessed with self-importance while disregarding what the creator thinks? What if he actually hates ribs that are cooked in a smoker? Does that make him any less important? Are you attempting to shame him?
@mrobvious110011 ай бұрын
No indication of natural release or quick release
@PDXTundra7 ай бұрын
Based on the display on the Instant Pots, it appears he did a 15 minute natural release. 👀
@mrobvious110011 ай бұрын
I did 20 minutes and 15 minutes natural release and they were so tender but I did not get the logic behind seasoning something then putting it in the instapot knowing most of the seasoning will be washed off in the liquid just seasoned it when you put it in the oven for color what do you guys think
@PDXTundra7 ай бұрын
I’ll tell you what I think: he used a trivet in each Instant Pot and added 1 cup of water. He added the seasoned ribs to the pots in the manner he demonstrated. The ribs will not be submerged in water with only 1 cup of liquid of your choice and will be steamed under high pressure, as that’s what he and everyone else on the planet is after. The rub will not be “washed off” as you put it. They’re not in the water being boiled, resulting in a washed away rub. They’re being steamed under pressure. To demonstrably prove this, simply rewatch watch the video at 3:22. When he removes the ribs they are still coated in the rub he applied, are they not? The rub didn’t wash off. It’s still intact. Amazing! Had you actually paid any attention to detail at the vital moments, you would have answered your own question, nodded your head, and would not have asked this question, which only served to allow me to chime in and point this all out to you like an 8th grade science teacher to an inattentive student.

How did your meal turn out?
@elieziete11 ай бұрын
This is my new favorite kitchen tool! Day 1 I was going to pressure cook a meat kzbin.infoUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg and potato stew, decided I wouldn't eat it that night so I went with a slow cook so I could go to bed and put it away in the morning. I love that versatility! The sauté feature works great and adds tons of extra flavor to dishes, and I can easily sizzle meats in the bottom then deglaze for some restaurant worthy flavors.Big bonus - you can cook a whole frozen chicken in about 2 hours. Amazing! I've seen a couple videos, haven't tried it yet, but I will soon!

Good stuff. I've done it this way and they are really good. I now have an electric smoker. I watched a vid that has you smoke cold ribs with rub for 2-3 yours at 180-225. Then into the PC for 19 minutes with quick release. Sauce and back on the smoker or oven for about 15 to caramelize the sauce and done. Gonna try that as an extra smoke flavor. Thought you might want to try it too. =)
