Thanks for the video Just did the icon stage 8 on my 3 gen Trd 2017. Thought it just had leveling kit from dealer, so thinking the small block that was under the factory leaf was stock. In your video no block of course. I did use the blocks the leaf pins seamed to line up better. Now the back end does sit a bit higher than the front. I tow a trailer with my razor , If it doesn’t settle it down I may have to pull the blocks out. Lol should have done a bit more research before doing the install.

They functioned as a side step just fine. If you or anyone that uses them actually "needs" side step to get into the truck the 0 degree works work best. The 20 degrees worked fine for me.

Going to be installing the Icon RXT on my 2021 Pro in the next week or so. I'm stuck on which setting to go with. I estimate I have around 500ish pounds with the possibly of adding a RTT. I usually ride with ~350#s and I'm on stage 2. I like it there, good height but not too stiff. If you ride around with 500# plus it's go straight to stage 3. I probably could have kept the sumo springs on but they're not needed with the icons so off they went.

whats your max load out weight. I have a constant load for work around 600-700lbs. Icon says ill maintain a 1.125 lift with 600lbs. But for how long of life of the springs right? im just on the fence with these and the deaver stage 3s. Weight wise i think i can justify going with Deavers but cost wise Id love to put the extra money into Icon 2.0 rear shocks. Anyone with experience please chime in. Thanks boys.
@infinitemods540
@infinitemods540 Жыл бұрын
I can't really speak about their longevity at a constant 6-700lbs. I load up with 6-7-800lbs (incl topper, rack,sliders, armour) when I go on long camping trips and they handle the weight well. I have them at stage 2 and when loaded I am level with my front which has a 1.5 in lift over the stock trd pro. If you want something more heavy duty you should look at OME or deavers, I think the icons are some of the softer more comfortable options.

I'm curious how you managed to install the metal bracket with attached electrical components on the driver's side. After installing the bolt, washers, and nut, I noticed that the bolt is too long and interferes with installing the bracket. The bracket has welded bolts on it, so I cannot simply use longer bolts to adjust for the bolt used to mount the slider. Do you have any advice regarding this?
@infinitemods540
@infinitemods540 Жыл бұрын
I think you're talking about the box on the inside of the frame, right? On mine the two mounting studs for that box have enough length to be mounted even with the sliders on. If you have an RCI bolt installed where the box mounts, you may have to cut the bolt down so it'll fit behind the box. Or you can put that bolt in another location so it doesn't interfere with the box. It's been a while since I did mine but I don't think I had to trim any bolts. What year is your truck? Some years and configuration have different setups along the frame.
@joek9962
