How we find out who was cheaping at Apple and not doing the construction with that metal plate from the very beginning? So we could cut his balls off. Come on, they charged a fortune for the iMacs and than they put in those shitty plastic washers instead of a metal plate that would have cost them nothing more than that plastic.

not as easy as it looks. I had to support the back of the monitor with objects that kept the angle of the monitor in a position that held the hinge closer to the screw holes. With a lot of strength, I was able to hold the spring under the bracket and screwed on one screw. The other spring I had to pull down and twist the bracket over it, then with much force, push and tighten the other screw in place.

yes, That's how i did it, as u cant see how heavy the springs are, this is the best solution as I did this repair with a DIY plate and it bend once o try to fit it. that's why i manufacture these laser-cut plates Thanks !!!! 😊

My thumbs were still sore two weeks after doing the repair from trying to push down on the washer against the spring. I just could not do it with the hinge still in the machine. So, I just took it out - the set of nine screws and six mounting screws. That reduced the amount of spring travel needed to get the screw in.

yes, the spring is really strong!!! That's why i push it with the screwdriver, not with my fingers

I'm using this method to remove the kb rivets. What I thought is actually happening ... shearing the shaft above the kb surface. Removed 6; sheared 4. I know the kb doesn't need them all ultimately, but if too many are missing, there will be issues. Some now, some later. :::: 10 min later - I found how to position the screwdriver until I can get them out reliably with at most 2 taps, most of the time a single.Take the screwdriver as low as it can go. It does not have to be flat; only most of the way to that point. The reason is when you hit it, it wants to pop up, to ride over the rivet. But it doesn't, and it takes the rivet with it.

Really? Replacing a plastic bracket by another plastic bracket? I would just cut and drill my own bracket from a thin steel bar. Now when the size was measure, they just punch ten of thousands of those and sell it cheaply.

For the 21.5” you can use just a normal washer as it’s only one screw

@@Apple-Bay he visto muchos videos de estaciones caseras y la tuya es similar a otra que había visto pero la tuya si tiene la parte superior de calentador. Si tengo los nombres de los componentes para comprar y ensamblar e hice un presupuesto de máximo 150 dólares a menos comprando las piezas en China. Lo único que no me queda claro es como adaptar esa pieza de bicicleta para la parte superior, pero la pieza con rieles si la tengo e incluso yo mismo se la cambie al mueble de mi teclado. Por otro lado he visto uno fabricado cuyo modelo es T862++ y no pasa de los 200 dólares, también comprando en china. Lo único malo es el envío para Perú, que si pasan los 200 dólares y es muy pero muy caro. Voy a ver la forma como fabricarme mi propia estación de calor infrarroja

I just did mine with the iFixit strips. I put a little bit of gorilla glue as insurance 😂 I hope the screen doesn’t fall off later. Great video

I used the same technique over 15 times may be but using a hard peace of plastic instead of metal and non of them broke again,it's been 2 years or more for the last one i worked with

My 2017 has tilted since I got it...I didn't realize it was a 'problem' but it is an annoyance. I finally googled because I get tired of always repositioning the screen. My post it notes pull it down! Nice instruction on what is wrong. Now to figure out how to get it fixed because we are still strictly sheltering due to Covid. I like your relaxing video.

Yes, in terminal. My mbp 16 official doesn’t have this but I like it so I restore this using terminal. Check in google how to turn off or turn on and set other value.
