@ not the best cpu, but you def SHOUDLNT be getting 50 fps. Turn ur settings down and make sure ur RAM is on dual channel mode.

I was using DX 12 and my performance was ABSOLUTE TRASH. DX 11 totally solved it for me. I have an RX 6600 8GB Vram. 16 GB RAM and i5 11400F. On DX 12 it was like 60 fps on the lowest but constant fps drops to 30-20. Game freezed a lot, stutter. It was literally unplayable. Changed to DX 11 and it was super smooth. Not any more problems. Sometimes drops to 50 fps but it changed everything. Pd: i find it weird that the ADS resolution doesnt affect performance. 50% im getting the exact same fps than 200%. Just thought about sharing that because it was a real headache to me to figure that out.

Sorry for the late reply, use either MSI afterbbruner(3rd party app) or go into steam settings and turn on the FPS counter.

sorry for the late comment, yeah i switched to a AMD RX 7900 XT about a year ago, and noticed my game ran like complete trash. I came from using a GTX 1070 and with that GPU i was able to run performance mode and get well over 400 FPS, now i cant even hit that target anymore.

dx11 sucks butt on amd cards because amd and their architecture heavily favors dx12. i wish reviewers warned about this so people dont fall into this situation like you

amds architecture is so heavily favored for dx12 games that it is whats keeping me off of them, dx11 games will usually stutter because something something shader cache and the like. sad since they aren’t bad cards and would be better if amd just locked the hell in

you mentioned stretched res, and the tihng is, this game wont let you play stretched, if you pikc a 4 3 resolution it doesnt remove at the sides, it just puts everything within the 4 3 and screws the aspect ratio, no clue how to fix it

Well, when I switch to DX12 Stuttering and drop problems almost fixed. It still happening a little bit time by time but not a big problem for me. Not often I can say that. Maybe once in ten games. Ah, Performance Mode is like hell. I was playing in PM on my old pc but when I got an AMD card, things were changed. I think new gpu drivers are not optimising for Dx11. HELL YEAH DX12.

What he says is somehow right. I guess AMD are stretching themselves thin in the driver department or NVIDIA got all the competent c programmers to write new gradient calculating algorithms... Also if you didn't know the reason you get stutters is because, for some weird reason unreal engine recursively recompiles shaders in game (cause Just In Time compilation sounds good for a competitive game) and this happens since the switch to UE5 and I dont suppose it is going to be fixed. Whatever pc you have eventually the api call to recompile some shader is going to be made while you are top 3 in a victory cup and you just have to live with it cause apparently a billion dollar company couldn't care less to optimise their billion dollar game or fix a bug I would legit fail a first year comp sci course if I wrote on an assignment... But I am stuck playing this shitty game and making websites on fckn .Net while these people get paid millions by selling people a movie cgi creator as a game engine. If some game dev sees this and you want to create a competitive focused multiplayer game... Please for everything that's holy do not touch UE.

Fortnite performance mode to me seems to be more about it being fortnite and depending on season/patch and dx11 runs better or worse, and gpu drivers no matter amd or nvidia. I say this because i have had times where the game on performance runs good other times it runs horrible and stutters like crazy. And i have a rtx 3070ti. Veil Dx12 runs smooth.

I also did that like 4-5 times in a row and it didn't work. Then i went into device management and I pressed went to my keyboard then -> properties -> change settings -> Update driver. For now its fixed. Maybe pin this so other people can try ??

Maybe update your drivers. Crashing can also be because of ur cpu and ram. Check ur ram speeds, and cpu+gpu temps.

I have a ryzen 5 5600x and rx 6750x and I tried all mode dlx 11 and 12 also performance mode but when I load into a game I stutter a lot and game is very laggy and can’t keep constant frames

For dx12, the first few games will be stuttering and it’s normal. THAYS because DX12 uses machine learning to memorize textures and locations, so next time after a few games ur computer dosent have to render it again!

i have a ryzen 5 5600g and a 6750xt and on perfomance mode i get between 130-200 fps but i see people make videos benchmarking a 6700xt with a ryzen 5 5600 and there getting 250-430 fps in fights as well it doesn't add up to me

@@Bonk679 try to use Radeon boost to all the way max and anti lag it will give you more frames you can find it in the adrenaline software also us dx12 is better for amd becuase it runs smoother and might give you more fps
