This is a bit demoralizing as a German language learner. Sounds like the language is essentially useless unless you want to become a citizen or obtain certain jobs. That’s unfortunate…

Home is where the heart is. Sadly people arent willing to be honest about where the country has gone wrong in the past several decades, that's the first step to doing something about it. Unfortunately with the crazy artificial population growth we are having much of the English countryside may also disappear.

I agree about the uk countryside as Kazuo Ishiguro says in the remains of the day: "The English landscape at its finest-such as I saw this morning-possesses a quality that the landscapes of other nations, however more superficially dramatic, inevitably fail to possess. It is, I believe, a quality that will mark out the English landscape to any objective observer as the most deeply satisfying in the world, and this quality is probably best summed up by the term 'greatness.' … And yet what precisely is this greatness? … I would say that it is the very lack of obvious drama or spectacle that sets the beauty of our land apart. What is pertinent is the calmness of that beauty, its sense of restraint. It is as though the land knows of its own beauty, of its own greatness, and feels no need to shout it."

The rich have got richer, the poor have got poorer. Where I live in post-industrial north-west England I cannot remember such a lack of hope - even in the 1980s people thought the Labour Party would come along and help them. Not anymore. 14 years of austerity means the fabric of our country has been damaged and there's little sign of it being fixed. I really worry that the vacuum left by politicians who don't address this decay is being exploited by Nigel Farage and Tommy Robinson - neither are popular but their anti-immigration message cuts through in working-class areas when people feel so ignored angry. But thankfully we still have our beautiful, magical countryside!

Germany might still be in better condition than England. But you actually describe the rather near German future. The coming elections will bring forth a government like the ones we had the last 25 years. That means nothing will change to the better.

Perhaps think about how Germany was a different (and better) place 20 years ago. German cleanliness, efficiency and punctuality are now history. Germany used to be very safe, not any more. German department stores filing for bankruptcy.. German pensioners rummaging through bins looking for empty cans for the deposit just to make ends meet. it’s not exactly rosy in Germany. German arrogance is as strong as ever though

The majority of the British people are being beaten into submission on a daily basis from the tories and now 2 tier Keir and his communist crew. It's only a matter of time before the countryside is also jam packed with 3rd world scum and every farm is owned by a globalist corporation. Unfortunately, due to the class system and the so called "monarchy" we don't stand a chance, because if you criticise or point out any of the failings from these criminals in charge you'll get a knock at the door from your local constabulary, because that's "hate speech". We're truly doomed.

Even Shakespeare's village has drug dealers. Mass immigration has been fatal for the UK, an economic burden that it cannot afford to carry now the UK is nearly 2 trillion in debt. The infrastructure cannot cope with mass immigration because our little Isles were not built for it. Money laundering is off the charts, corrupt politicians is off the charts. Many should be in prison for treason. Thatcher knew that the EU plan was to make the poor, poorer and the rich, richer. One of the reasons that we were adamant to leave the EU and its unelected leadership. Another reason why the people's of Europe have turned right in the majority. In the UK, we have witnessed a lack of investment, in our people and infrastructure. Thatcher was a great investor in our own people, the EU globalists in her party were determined to take her down. Although we do have her to thank for holding on to our sterling currency. If we look back through history, every time the peasants/working class start to prosper and get ahead, another bout of asset stripping happens. A lot of our farmers are working class, now the commies plan to take their farms from them leaving us without food security. JRM shared that the reason tenant farmers bought land after WW2 is because they were dedicated to ensure that our Isles would never be wholly dependent on foreign nations for our food. The whole of Europe is on the brink of collapse unless mass deportations become a reality.

I am very happy living in the UK. I wouldn't swap my life or home for anywhere. I live in beautiful countryside, in a lovely village with fantastic neighbours. We have quick access to a thriving, diverse city and beautiful beaches. Our house prices are lower up North, less crowding. Great educational establishments, lots of cultural events and opportunities. Sure there are problems, but there are problems everywhere. Also a lot of problems seem to stem from unrealistic expectations and people choosing unsustainable lifestyles.

I am Italian and I have been living in England for 25 years. While I still think living in England has lots of benefits at the same time I noticed a decline of the country, or at least a slowing down of the growth compared to when I arrived and the years immediately after that. The cost of living is one of the main issues the people in the country is facing. The massive growth of the public debt has had surely an impact of investments and structural and ifrastructural modernisation. Foreign investments have been impacted by wrong political choices and all this has reduced competitiveness, opportunities and salary while at the same time costs like energy and services are now more expensive. In the town where I live 50% of shops and small business have closed, it is so sad because walking in the town center now is like walking in a ghost city. Having said that, one thing I learn from the British people is that they learn from their mistakes and they will fix it, I noticed most recently that there is awareness of certain mistakes and there is willingness to fix them, it will take years but the country will find the way. What can I say about the countryside, I totally agree, it is beautiful, I have always admired the respect the British people have for it and in general for the environment. I wish I could live in a typical village but it is too expensive and maybe too late for me.

Every time I visit the uk I have a great time, I left in 2014 and honestly struggle to think how I could have the same lifestyle in the uk as I have in Europe. We talk regularly about returning for many reasons but ultimately the uk has been progressively getting worse since 2008. I’m always hopeful that there will be a turning point as I would agree that I have wonderful memories about much of the country and the people I meet, but the general day to day life we would struggle with.

Your videos often strike a chord with me. We are both from the midlands, although you are to the south of Birmingham and me to the north, I have also left, now living in France for 2 years. I agree with your diagnosis about the decline of the UK that it is mostly short-sightedness and lack of investment, however you are neglecting the changing population. What has driven us both to leave? My assessment is that we are the type of people to get up and do something about it, seek the answer further afield, because growing up around Birmingham you already have very little belonging, so what's limiting you from having little belonging elsewhere? The population it once was is no longer, those there now live by different values, and these values - once majority - become the new culture and push out the old. We are both examples of it and I know many others too.

This man fails to mention just how much mass immigration Germany has had over the last 15 years, with many, many more tens of thousands of people being given asylum. The main cities like Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt and the heavily populated Ruhr area are grimy, covered in graffiti, have big drug problems, empty department stores that have gone bust, beggars everywhere, litter and gang crimes. The national railways are expensive and unreliable. There are still pockets of wealth in Germany, but it’s visibly declining as a nation

This country in the mid 2000s was still wonderful in the main. Then came the Tories (just, and propped up by a weak Liberal bunch) in 2010. By 2015 the place was rotten and since then has become far far worse due to incompetence, greedy wealth makers and idiots like Johnson and Truss . They fooked the place after Breakshit and were hapless in Covid. Don't blame this new Government ... yet, because if you do you are part of the problem. Finally, to the whingers on here, stop bitching. You could live in Ukraine or Gaza or other places which really are hell on Earth. It's you that is the problem and the chancers like Frage and worse are grabbing you by the knackers just like the Fascists did in Europe in the 30s. .
