Une chanson bien française interprété par Jacques Dutronc et composé par Jacques Lanzmann. Reprise plus accrocheuse de Mungo Jerry, j'aime bien ! La version de Jacques Dutronc est quand même ma préférée ! A very French song performed by Jacques Dutronc and composed by Jacques Lanzmann. A catchier cover of Mungo Jerry, I like it ! For those who are not bilingual, no similarity between the lyrics !

Memories of being 11 when this was in the charts. The next year i went to High School which was appallingly awful. Thoughts of long summers (remember those?) and playing football with my mates in the local park. Good times.

Memories of great times growing up in the UK and the incredible, seemingly endless summer of 1976

If only we could time travel back to 1976, happy carefree days when a hot summer was considered to be “a scorcher”, not a “climate emergency “….

Might have been a "turntable hit" in a few markets but . . . it does not have "IT" to be big. (First time hearing this right now.)

I was thirteen the first time I heard this song. We were on the way to one of my baseball games when my dad played this on CD. It rocked so hard, I made him play it on the way to the rest of the games that season. Hearing this always brings me back to those summer car rides in 06.
