What’s a dressing stone use for? Do you have a link for the one in your video? How do you take off the sharp edges of tile after cutting? Do you have a recommendation and link?

Can this replace major brand`s 20v-40v high-end grinders? enough power to compete with them? or just for DIY?

I’m so sick of tripping over the cord and hose of my shop vac to pick up a tiny bit of dust from a customers home. Plus half the time in older apartments it’s never easy to find a free outlet to use. This looks like the perfect solution. Looks like it’s a bit more useful than the dcv517 with the attachments.

Help, please. What would you do if you had to fit this 32x60 in a smaller rectangle (3 walls and a curb) and the drain was in the middle and off-center. Respectfully, videos like this are educational and helpful. However, more often than not a 32x60 pre-fab stock pan has to be cut and custom fit into a space. Consequently, the decisions are to either minimize your cuts and sacrifice your perimeter, level edges and wallboard rabbet or cut the board multiple times preserving the factory edges and piecing it back together. Was I overthinking that factory edge needed to be preserved? We want a nice straight line where the tiled walls meet the pan floor.
@LandbergTileTV4 күн бұрын
Factory edge is not a big deal with rectified tile, a diamond pad can make it look factory.

Great job my friend. Quick question. To try and get the best flow for the veins, do you turn any tiles upside down? Or do you install all tiles in the same direction (according to the arrow on the back of the tile), and try to organize the veins that way? A response would really help me. Thanks.
@LandbergTileTV4 күн бұрын
It depends on the veins and movement in the tile. It can tend to look redundant if all veins are flowing in the same direction.

Step 1: buy an 800 dollar wet saw. Very cool though. I don't get how you make sure the tile lands perfectly where the niche is though.

Hello, great job on all videos. Beast , for sure. I did like and subscribe and hoping you could help me out. My tile guy was not so tile friendly( pun intended, not a nice guy either) he did a niche for me but he did not 45 the edges and it looks extremely rookie. Could you tell me how I could remove edge pieces and redo? I have gotten much better with tile ing and feel I could handle the job. Here are pics
@LandbergTileTV4 күн бұрын
You will probably need to tear out the niche completely and redo. Schluter jolly is a great trim for niches

Have you tried the Makita XCC01Z 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 5" Wet/Dry Masonry Saw? If so, how's this Kobalt compare to that? Thinking pf pulling the trigger on the Makita but is it really worth an extra 155 dollars?
@Metalblaze1247 күн бұрын
3 years later. I don't see this in any of your vids. Why do you go back to the wet saw?
@LandbergTileTV4 күн бұрын
We have been building small bathrooms and using our manual cutters 90% of the time. We like our Kobalt tabletop because it's cordless.

I use the lippage system almost exclusively (a variant of, with a much faster mechanism); it saves time for smaller jobs, reduces both waste and cost, and can take less time with a faster tightening mechanism since I don’t have to shuffle boxes filled with large spacers, wedges, and a specialized tool for tightening them. Also, makes for a much cleaner install as you can lay the tile, push it flush with the installed tiles, clean any extruded thinset, then space and clamp, saving time cleaning as well
