It won’t affect me at all, for racing games I have my steam deck or pc. Im getting a switch for family friendly games to play with my family.

Nintendo got sued over the analogue triggers on the GameCube and Wii in 2008 by Anascape Ltd, who I believe held patents for them. Nintendo eventually won on appeal, but that only covered the GC and Wii controllers mentioned in the original brief. It's likely Nintendo don't want to go through the legal mess again for newer controllers. I think Microsoft & Sony settled, and to this day pay for each controller sold.

It 100% will not affect where I buy my games . If there’s a Switch 2 version I’m getting it on Switch 2. The ability to take it on the go is too vital to me.

Monumental? How does being Sony's worst selling console in their history, having cancelled 8 games, the massive Concord flop + the studio buyout and closure = market dominance? Sony, objectively, is in a very bad position right now. Those cancelled games alone mean wasted money AND those studios will not be releasing anything on PS5 for at minimum 4 years. That's 8 studios having wasted money. They're beating Microsoft, which was a low bar, got pounded into the dirt by Switch (70 Million vs 150 Million) and sales are slowing down like they always do the older the console gets. PS5 will be lucky to outsell the PS3, which would just make it their second worst selling console. I think you need to relook at the numbers my guy. Let's also take into account that most PS5 games were actually PS4 games dual released on the system, and the prospect of those games coming to PC also now affecting console sales. The PS5 only has 9 exclusives. Technically 7 since both Spiderman 2 and TLOU2 are coming to PC. Demon Souls is a remake, Destruction All Stars was....destruction all stars. What part of any of this is "dominating"? We should want better for ourselves, not spread misinformation.

It's been a while since I paid full price for a 30fps console game this generation. I don't even think GTA 6 can make me change my mind. I'll wait for a used copy. 30fps need to go away already. At this rate even Next gen will be plagued by 30fps and 60fps will still be a maybe.

Not buying games anyway, PS+ has more than enough. Games these days aren’t worth the money they cost + the lifetime. Haven’t bought a PS5 as well just the portal. Why? Because the ps5 ain’t worth 500 bucks for me.

If they was to run the game at a native 720p or 1080i they could totally use quality upscaling to bring the game at a solid 1440p at 60fps and I don’t think anyone would complain

I want to buy physical games but they don’t go on sale like the digital games do unfortunately so I end up only owning the physical copies of games I really like instead of my entire library like the old days but since manufacturing costs are less on digital they should be cheaper

30fps works for me 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’ve enjoyed a lot of great games at 30fps

Stability is what’s most important to me. If it runs at a rock solid 30fps it will be fine. Dragon’s Dogma 2 was 30fps and ran stable on PS5. It’s when you have frame rate fluctuations that ruins your focus and immersion that I have issues with not the base fps.

The games are barely even playable and not to mention how 💩 the graphics are 🫣

i mean consoles always targeted 30fps , not because consoles cant do 60 fps but because most of the time to run the game at 60fps you need to play the game at a lower graphical setting and if you are not playing a fast game like doom or something its never worth it

This game not running on 60 FPS tells me it won’t live up to the unrealistic hype that so many content creators have said it will. Will the game still be great and fun as all get out?? Yess but I don’t believe it’ll be what’s been speculated and I definitely feel like a decade+ of anticipation/Speculation will have hurt it more than helped it. I think we’ll look back a year after release and be like this game should’ve dropped in 2021-22!!

People put too much stock behind frames per second in my opinion yeah it’s really cool in some games. Yeah it would be really cool in every game but for the most part, it’s not the reason. Game sucks from what I’ve noticed. If people are complaining about frame rate it’s usually attached to a long list of other complaints.

It not being 60fps isn't because of the GPU, it's going to be 30fps because of the amount of work the CPU will be doing and no amount of resolution scaling will boost it to 60. That's been obvious to me since the trailer and especially after the tech patents came out.

Im not a corporate d sucker BUUUT, every single thing is way, WAY more expensive today compared to 10 years ago, yet games have for the most part NOT adjusted for inflation. 60 USD today is like 40 USD 10 years ago, so gamers have been getting a discount for years in this specific regard.

I'll still buy and play it. I played at 30fps for years and years so it doesn't bother me. I like graphics more. When it's out on pc I'll get it for that and run it better, but on Xbox it doesn't bother me

NOT a problem for me. I absolutely will NOT be strong armed into paying even more for games. Especially since you don't "BUY" any digital games. You buy a license that can be revoked at any time for any reason. I have over 600 physical games ranging from The Atari 2600 to the xbox 360 era even a couple xbox one titles even though I use my brother's console rather than owning my own. With that many physical games I see zero point in feeding corporate greed. I was FORCED into all digital on PC and I will NOT be strong armed again!
