As a Panthers fan, I’m glad we won’t be addressing QB in this draft class. Earlier this year it looked like we would have to. That said, I get why some teams would want to draft them at the top of the draft. QB is the most important position in football, and there is more demand than supply in this year’s draft.

As a Niners fan.... I think Lynch has to put his foot down with Kyle and he has to go with a top offensive lineman with their first pick. At 11th overall..They could draft either a top 3 OT/RT to replace Colt McKenis who can than slide to LG where he could be better suited for or they could draft the best Center in this years draft class. Lynch knows that championship level teams win in the trenches. Plus....with SF set to pay QB-Brock Purdy a lot of money, they will want to fortify their offensive line inorder to protect their investment. In fact, i can see them going Offensive line with second round pick as well. The Defensive line and DE class is way deeper than the offensive line class. They could create a top notch Offensive line which could be the foundation of this offense for years to come by using their first two picks to get two starting caliber offensive lineman (possibly one or both are Pro-Bowl caliber) to play alongside Trent Williams and Puni. I think there will still be plenty of talented pass rushers and/or starting caliber DT's available for SF to draft with their third pick. This scenario would be a dream for the Niners. Many of the experts, analysts, pundits and faithfuls believe that Beock Purdy could be a top 5 QB if he had a line that was not among the worst in the NFL. If Purdy had a top tier offensive line that protected him long enough for plays to develop and opened up clear passing lanes as well as running lanes SF's offense would be unstoppable. SF 's front office can then prioritize defense with the rest of the draft and re-signing Greenlaw as well as Hufanga. Both players are cornerstones of their defense. This is still a very good roster that can get right back to the top with the best chance to win the Superbowl that Lynch and Kyle have had.
