Yay, I'm so happy you're happy😊 You will have to show the plants fully grown someday. Yes, I knew you liked stock and how cute is baby stock😊 Sky Dance because I just love the name (and salvia)😊

Things are looking good. You had those crazy floods and the typical vine borer invasion. The roses are so pretty and that Fiat Dutch cabbage is pretty impressive. Jealous of your dahlias. Mine did not come up.
@8thcelisabeth2 ай бұрын
Oh no! I am so sorry. I lost some dahlias and the rest are beat up, but I do feel blessed to have what I have!

I love your thought process towards this year's garden, despite the floods😊

Nice! I do like the size of the cloves. I'm not a fan of peeling garlic. Do you know the variety?
@8thcelisabeth2 ай бұрын
I don't. I purchased some bulbils a few years ago and scattered them. Then I collected bulbils from those and other varieties. So now it's just a random collection of multiple varieties, most of them hardneck. A mish mash!

Yeah. Interesting thing is that the flood and herbicide did a bigger number on the squash this year than the SVB's. If it hadn't been for that damn flood, woulda been a better squash year than average. Now the plants are fighting three things trying to kill them.

I haven't tasted it yet. I pulled it early because I saw rain (got very little) but will update with a taste test. The experimental tomatoes I'll post the taste test right away, instead of waiting for winter like the others.

Did the tree survive?
@8thcelisabeth3 ай бұрын
You know what is crazy? It's been 2 years and that tree is currently loaded with apples. I have no idea how this tree still lives, but it damn sure does! I mean the tree wound is great but that damage was awful.

Are these the things the beetles that look like stink bugs? I had eggs and got rid of them. The only bug I keep seeing is the stink bugs. I saw 5 today and other days I jave run cross 1 or 2 here and there.
@8thcelisabeth3 ай бұрын
no, you might be thinking of squash bugs, which is a separate pest from the squash vine borer moth. A lot of people call them squash bugs, not knowing they are different so I can see where the confusion would come from. All the pests going after our squash are so annoying!

Uggh 😢 Are other gardeners locally reporting similar issues? I imagine the flood waters could've washed up who knows what😢 I'm very sorry, hopefully sone will turn around.

Looks nice. What’s special about Nashville Hot Chicken?
@8thcelisabeth3 ай бұрын
It's delicious. It's fried chicken with spice in the marinade, spice in the breading and spice in the sticky honey sauce that goes on top. I like making it because I can adjust the heat for whoever I am making it for. I am also not a big coleslaw fan, but I will load up that sammie with coleslaw, getting in that fiber.
