Can you use side scan and side scan on the mega DI version? Or is the only way is to buy both?

On down view you were using 1200MHz that's when the screen cleared up...on 800 is when you had the silt layer

Not really impressed with 360 of hummingbirds, much rather spend it on garmins livescope, cause side imaging gives you same image of terrain n fish just at opposite end.snooky pa😊😊

Enjoyed ur walk thru sir, just retired from dot past yr got my first boat a g3 14ft little on small side but ok! Just now putting elctronics into it.i went with hummings 7inch to feather out expenses and in my view they have best clarity on si&di sonar.maybe for xmas after saving i can put a garmin n livescope up front fer hookups!!seems to be alot of grey area on what n why when it comes to transducer types n how to match up to units! My two trans have no id numbers on there bodys, but do have tags on cords!!also what does helix mean fer units and all that other stuff like g-3vs g4 as well as g-2n.we need a google translation just to tell whats it got.i already made my mistake i bought a new hummings 5inch but found out only shows 2d basic sonar and reg.down, that how i ended up with two seperate 7inch units. ,one had only di the other only si.its enough to confuse a mind.!!!hell all i want is to get some fish hookups not buy every unit off ebay,so yeah buyer beware-buy once cry once.yup how many differant transducers will work on what units????😂😂😂😂snooky pa

I just got a helix 7 gen 4, and nowhere do I see how to get to my side imaging? It's not listed under sonar? Any suggestions

I have humminbird core series, and I have found on the console side scan that if I set my scroll speed about 2-3-10ths faster than I actually scan on the mph of the boat.usually my GPS will be about 3.1mph and I set my scroll speed about 3.3-3.4mph.but when I buy another boat I don't think I'll even put side scan on the front of it,because when I'm fishing speed is so inconsistent that ss is useless.so I just use my ffs,and 2d and downscan.on the lifewell thing pool noodles cut to length, floating on top keeps em from jumping out,and serves as Insulation ta keep water cooler.

The puck has nothing to do with your spotlock. It basically is only for the jog feature. Thats according to Garmin service dept. I have had the same issue in the past and stayed in the phone with them for hours.

I am sure you have figured out your spot lock problem. But mine did the same thing. I preformed a recalibrated, reset offset and being my main Kota is a little over powdered for my boat and set it -2 and it settled down even in the wind and tide in St. John’s River. So much for that. I love your videos and your teachings and you fish a lot of the same waters. I wish you could help me find crappie in strong tides…..where do they go and can they be caught?
