Im planning to build a library with gothic arches like this, and I’m soooo happy to see that, nearly exactly what was in my head, in a KZbin video. Especially one that doesn’t use ikea bookshelves as the base! I’m thinking of painting mine a dark burgundy and getting some vintage velvet couches!

Love the vibe! Getting ready to start a similar build. Planning to ensure i fill the woodgrain though, i have black cabinets in my kitchen that the wood grain wasnt filled and it drives me insane 😅 Thanks for inspo!!

This is so amazing! ❣ Would there be any way to get the exact measurements, screws, part list, etc. for this, please? 🙏🏻 Where you purchased the crown molding and accent decor, etc.? I just bought my first home, and this is exactly what I've always dreamed of! 😍 I'm not sure if my husband and I can diy it, but we can try something a little less grand and save up!

Unfortunately we don’t have a parts list or plans to offer, the library was designed to fit on our wall specifically with inconsistencies in the original house build factored into the blueprints my wife planned out. If you build something similar please send us pictures, we’d love to see what you come up with! And congratulations on your new home! 🖤

Thank you! 🖤 for our library we used Ekena Millwork crown moulding, same kind we used for the main floor of the house so it all flows together :)

The lighting seems a little too cool for this style IMO. Maybe it looks worse on camera but I think some warmer lightbulbs would go a looong way to make this gothic victorian style look better! Some LEDs with 2000-3500 Kelvin (with a high CRI so it doesn't look flat and washed out) would take this to the next level I think! The cooler LEDs are more suited for modern, minimalist, grey and white interiours. (which I honestly hate lol)

I absolutely agree with you, and I believe the camera definitely made these a bit cooler. Our lights are at the 3000-3500 range but I’ve been really wanting to get something a little bit warmer, it would make everything feel… warm yet mysterious…. Hahaha thank you for your input I really appreciate it! 🖤

Absolutely magical! I'm starting a similar project now, so can I ask how the paint is holding up after 6 months now? Any chips, peels, or still perfect? It's my only fear going into such a dark shade (I want very dark green).

Thank you so much! 🖤 The paint has held up greatly! We used the same paint we used throughout our entire renovation and so far it’s been holding up really well. When you go to paint yours make sure you sand and clean it very well before painting so the paint lasts you a long time as well. I say do it if it makes your heart happy! 🖤

@ThePeruvianTank awesome. I lived there as a baby, but my mother snuck me out of Peru in 1948. She told me he died but I found out when she died that she had divorced him. I tracked him down in 1970. He had been looking for me for 22 years. My grandfather was a sculpture and my great grandfather was a military hero in Peru and I think they celebrate him every year. My dad's last name was Spiers. ❤😊

Both groups are out of Cleveland, OH and, are a staple of the haunt community across the US. A lot of the music can be found here on YT. Yes, I do have some faves from MS. Ha.
