I think that blazing bullet factory sequence is the first time i've ever seen anyone get an actually noticeable difficulty decrease by gaining the health recovery back lmao At one point you checked for a "fake wall" someone pointed out at the flooded basement, while that person wasn't exactly lying, that was the wrong "flooded basement", and it's actually at the flooded plexal basement Also you already loved the heavenly vibes after being deemed worthy by the stairway to nowhere, and honestly it just feels sooooo much better at daytime, with a bright athmosphere and the music being really pretty, also right after that you were literally one step away from a red star and the warp you took into polygonal chaos is usually just something to go to if you mess it up, so that's unfortunate

30:48 This is actually what i was trying to explain in detail back in that one video when i mentioned my comment was just disappearing, unsure if you figure out in a later recording as i haven't watched them all: There's 5 beta lobbies, they all are only slightly different from each other at first but their warps are entirely different, they are usually named from A to E, and there IS a way to tell them apart. First of all, beta lobby D can't be accesed through fast travel nor the castle grounds, but it's connected to beta lobby C and a few other areas Now, the quickest, easiest way to tell them apart is looking at the door that would in vanilla lead you to cool cool mountain, or the lobby's respective iteration of whomp's fortress (in other words, just the door to the left of the basement doors, it's also the door you'll see the camera most focused on) Beta Lobby B has a 2 and Beta Lobby C has a 3, now it's just A and E which both have a 1 and are near identical, the only way to tell them apart is the painting levels (which are also insanely similar) and the UI being a little changed, these two are also the ones that lead to the star. You will have to be able to tell them all apart to get 3 of the red stars, as they're only present in certain specific paintings of each. A is overall the least useful, it's just the standard overall, B is the best as it has the warps to plexal upstairs and plexal lobby, plexal upstairs being parricularly one of the most well connected areas in the game, especially as it has Royal Lobby and Plexal hallway, C is very good both because of D and the warp above for which i forgot the name of, while E is about as standard as A but at least it does lead to one red star. Also 34:31 you finally enter Royal Lobby my beloved, by far one of the my favorites and the best areas in the game, not just from the vibe it gives off, but it also has some of the most valuable and quickest warps in the game, it has by far the best way into vanilla castle grounds (which also means vanilla lobby and challenge lobby) and Bowser's castle (and straight into the purple castle door which can also easily lead to the ending route) and has one of the best and most beautiful experience-levels in the game, the more you play the game the more you start appreciating just how much it does for you.

6:43 I was wondering when someone would elaborate more on Personalization Values for you. Us commenters love infodumping, so it was inevitable, but part of me was hoping you wouldn't learn about it until way later, since it does demystify the game quite a bit. For me, at least. My personal recommendation, for what it's worth, would be this: (assuming you want to go for a 95-100%) As you get closer to the halfway point at just over 200-ish stars, have someone in your group, as Hayden had done before to find the cap switches, assume the role of a "pseudo-navigator" who just has the wiki pulled up or something. This greatly helped me enjoy the latter half of the game without the Star tracker, since by that point I was at least somewhat accustomed to the Plexus, and only needed hints to figure out how to get to new levels. Also, whoever said you needed every Star to beat the game is misinformed. Only all of the regular Red Stars are required.

11:54 Here's a fun fact about that Star, since you're way past it now: by getting to the Plexal Lobby in this manner, you actually did a sequence break. Normally, you're not supposed to be able to access the rest of the Plexus beyond the Beta Lobbies until you get your first Red Star, which almost always happens by beating the first Bowser fight at 17:40 (although there is at least one other way I know of). But because that Star in the Courtyard takes you to a different map with unrestricted warps, you were able to get around much more of the game without any Red Stars.

My only gripe with this game is that it is so uncomfortable to play on steam deck because of the controls being so mouse focused to move the camera, this is not the kind of game I can just play for hours while sitting up, I would play it so much more if I could do it while laying down lmao
