I miss Panarin on the Blackhawks so much. He was so talented! Breadman and Showtime combined, they’re so fun to watch on the ice. He was my third favorite Blackhawks player behind Toews and Kane (still is as of today). I wish Stan Bowman didn’t trade him to the Blue Jackets for Saad back in the Summer of 2017. I respect Brandon Saad, but Saad wasn’t at the same level as Panarin during his second tenure with the Hawks. While Panarin on the other hand, still had that talent in the blue jackets and the NY Rangers. That trade also sent the Blackhawks into a downward spiral after that, they weren’t the same without The Breadman. Making it one of the worst trades ever. If Stan didn’t trade Panarin and kept him, he would have likely help the team to add two more cups to the 2010s dynasty. I really hope the Blackhawks draft Ivan Demidov in this year’s NHL Draft. He reminds me of Artemi Panarin so much. He’s got the same talent as Panarin during his first two years with the Blackhawks. That trade still hurts as of today.

i never noticed before after the first goal the back and forth between Kane and Rask, there is no Blackhawk over there where he's pointing but i just always assumed he was pointing to a teammate. no he had to have been pointing at Rask and then the fist pump, it's so random and ridiculous Rask isn't even mad and finds it funny.

My father was a fan of hockey. He took me to several Cincinnati Stingers' games back in the '70s. He liked listening to hockey games on radio, and he loved Canada. He passed in 2007; I know he would have loved the NHL's Outdoor New Year's Day games.

At 18:00 there's a simply beautiful flags ceremony. Both "O Canada" and "The Star-Spangled Banner" are given beautiful renditions.

Blackhawks officially cement dynasty while the Lightning just start!! Out of the 3 cups the hawks won, I think the best was 2013 because they also got the presidents trophy too. The 2015 team wasn't much different than 2013 though. The hawks from 2009-2017 though just unbelievable and the Lightning from 2015-now is just astonishing. Both modern day dynasties no questions.

Wonder how Kyle Beach thinks of all this.
