Tell Charlotte that she made a very good witch. I enjoyed your company and stitching as usual. We just moved the clocks back over the weekend so it's getting dark way to early here. The gloomy weather isn't helping either. Take care!

Sarah, you are the perfect company for a Monday afternoon of stitching on Red Deer Sampler. I enjoyed all your starts and WIPS. I appreciate the kind mention for my Zoom Stitchy Meet Ups and look forward to more in the future. Please tell Charlotte that she was a fabulous witch and I envied her perfect cackle. I always enjoy the photos of the area around you, and Belfast was no exception. Take care, my friend.

5:12 I absolutely love all the monsters! Thank you for sharing your photos. It is nice to see where others live and living in the US our buildings don't have the historical older look that I love to see.

Great flosstube. I loved seeing Charlotte in her witchy costume and how wonderful that she enjoyed it. When you showed the Barbra Ana stitch along for next month I paused the video and went and bought it. I meant to do so on your last video but forgot! Now to get it kitted up. I thought your scissor holder was great and I really liked the wood grain look! Sostrene Greene (sp) is full of treasures. Happy stitching Sarah and thanks for sharing.

Lovely photos of Belfast which my husband enjoyed too as for a short while he attended Belfast Grammar. Charlotte looked so good as a cackling witch. My daughter (a nanny) took her little boy to Nursery and the staff came out to greet them looking so scary that some were virtually unrecognisable which the little ones didn't appreciate! Great idea for scissors Sarah. My Rejoice on 40ct linen is in hibernation so I'm looking forward to seeing yours finished 🙂

Loved Charlotte's great interpretation of transforming into a witch. Her dress is lovely! Maybe drama class is in her future? I love decorating with witches as I've always been interested in the history of. I think these women were natural healers and helped many. And as for your pumpkin painting, I for one would be thrilled to display in my home Sarah! ❤ I think it's beautiful! I decorate with pumpkins and fall leaf garlands as we don't experience much Autumn in central Florida. I put up by first day of Fall and leave until Thanksgiving! I haven't participated in Sarah's zoom yet but hope to.

Having you on while I stitch is like the purest form of therapy. I always feel so much calmer listening to you. Oh and Charlotte has the perfect witch cackle, she’s very convincing! Not a huge Halloween fan here either, it’s around but not really something we’ve ever done although a couple of years after we moved here we did hand out some treats. This year our wee neighbour who isnt quite three visited us in his skeleton pjs to give us a treat which was so sweet. Hope you are well, and stitching happy too - take care, Nic x

I love Charlotte's costume and she has the cackle down perfectly! Very cute little witch! Thank you for sharing the pictures of Northern Ireland! I love the architecture. Old Montreal has some beautiful architecture as well. It's always nice to take a walk down there in the summer. Your painted pumpkin is beautiful! I would love to display that every year at Halloween! Thanks for sharing the 'Freebie Friday' at Primrose Cottage. I'm not sure I'll see anything that fits with my stitching but you never know, right? Maybe I'll find something that takes me out of my comfort zone and I'll stitch something different! Take care!

Absolutely fourth time lucky 👏👏👏 Charlotte looked great in her outfit. Great cackle as well 🧙🧙🧙 Belfast looked different with all the monsters. Hope you got all you were looking for. I don't like shopping, I don't know when I was in a city last. The only shop I ever felt comfortable in was a book shop & I could get lost for hours in one of them. I have Nessie Mitchell ready to start but want to make some more progress on MFE 2023 before I start something new. I'm almost half way through. Like all of Jacobs patterns there are a deceptive number of stitches😂😂😂 Love your stitching as always. Moonshine cabin is going to look great on that fabric. Loved your pumpkin, it'll be great to have it out every year. We used to collect all the pumpkins in the family to feed to our chickens. They absolutely loved them. Can't believe you & Sally are almost at the end of the #funfor50SAL2024. It's been a real pleasure to watch. I'll be sorry to see it end. Maybe a finishing challenge for 2025? Hope you get lots of stitching time over the next few weeks. Take care, best wishes from 🇮🇪

Charlotte was a perfect happy little witch! You have some beautiful architecture in Ireland - I’m sure they are much more elegant without the monster blowups on them, but nonetheless very pretty. Two weeks without a start should be worthy of some good progress on your wips you mentioned.

I have a small start on Season’s of the Heart Winter…I should put some stitches in it along with you. And I have that Mamma Loves You GB chart - love your idea of putting your maternal grandmother’s name. I could put my paternal grandmother’s name because she was a teacher in Scotland. Thanks for that idea! I’m glad you had a great time at Stitch in London.
@sewmesarah2 күн бұрын
Oh yes, please do join me for the Season of the Heart! I don’t imagine I’ll be making a very big start on it given how busy this time of year is, but it will be started nonetheless. How perfect to add your grandmother to the Nessie Mitchell sampler. I hope it works out for you Clare.

I enjoyed hearing about the retreat and it sounds like you had some well deserved time with your friends. I hope to meet you some day even if it is only thru the SAL next year. I’m on vacation in Branson, Missouri USA at the moment but I’ve spent my evenings stitching. I got to visit a fabulous needlework shop here, Cecelia’s Samplers recommended by floss tuber Jackie @ Comfort Stitching. I believe I heard about you thru her also. I return home to my HOUSE tomorrow in FL and get to resume quilting and stitching. This community is awesome!

I love going to retreats but I have to choose my retreats because some can be too energetic for me. I have found my happy retreat but know the not sleeping well because it’s not my own bed. So I also find myself the first to retire in the evening on my table. I come back buzzing for ages and it definitely gives me the highs I need to get through some of the work day stresses. In my House there is no such thing as too much retreat shopping. Fabulous floss tube again ❤

I like your house philosophy on retreat shopping 😉 I think there would also be some retreats that wouldn’t be a good fit with me. I got lucky that Stitch in London fits so well, since it’s the only one I’ve been to so far!

😊 Your retreat time sounded like so much fun. I haven't been able to attend any this year, but hope to make up for that in 2025! For this year it will just have to be "The Jingle Ball" zoom retreat that Lindy Stitches is hosting Dec6-8. Can't wait! House black 😊❤
