Naruto has about 6-7 better fights, Mob Psycho has better fights, Cowboy bebop has better hand to hand, sword of the stranger, seirei no moribito, darker than black, fullmetal alchemist brotherhood, Hunter x hunter both 90s and 2011, my hero Academia has better action, one piece on their latest arc, mezzo forte and kite have insane action and hand to hand as well, chinese ones like fog hill of five elements, hitori no shita the outcast, even American animations like Avatar the last airbender and Korra or Batman Dark Knight returns, Assault on Arkham, Arcane, etc etc

Real swords with shape blades and pointy ends. Can you imagine trying to do this in a film today? The studio, lawyers and insurance would never allow such a thing. IT would have to be CGI.

90s animation. I've watched a ton of anime especially shoenen since then. Nothing matches this fight. The closest i've seen that comes to this fight is Kakashi vs Obito in the war.

Omfg, no exaggerate action shot angle like modern movie. But damn it’s look really good long take make it feels more real and the most impressive part is that every single move look like it wanted to kill not like a dummy of a prep action fighting. It look so real compared to modern fight.

This is one of the greatest. Basil did one with Danny Kaye that was funny. Mandy and Cary is one of the best, except it wasn't a continued fight.

Basil Rathbone was two-time British Army fencing Champ. Tyrone Power was not as well trained but had fenced since he was young (was a requirement for a number of roles he had to play) and Rathbone had more respect for his skill than for that of his other movie opponents. I think I saw this in a drive-in with my parents when I was young & later bought the DVD. This has always been my favorite fencing duel. There has never been a Zorro like Tyrone Power.

Great cinema, but I am not sure if historically there were these light-weight sabers. The movements are actually relatively slow. Olympic fencing is very fast and doesn't make for a good spectator sport.

The increasing speed of the swords meeting creates such great tension. Like a ticking clock that gets faster the closer it gets to the end.
