thank you SO much for this! i didn't have cardboard tubes but I had a really strong piece of flat cardboard that I was able to make work. plus, i didn't need to buy a phone holder because i use a pop socket and i cut a slot for it. so i was able to make it with only cardboard and packing tape, both things i already had. oh, also i didn't feel like getting out a glue gun soi used a glue stick to layer the base pieces. thank you again!

Hello, do you think it would be possible to make this without the sole, and just use the top of the shoe? I want to make a shoe cover to go over my daughters shoes, as part of her Halloween costume. She doesn’t walk well so I fear that making a sole would be too slippery for her to walk on.

I don't get how you crochet the pieces for the last cookie together, as the top and bottom have different numbers of stitches on the outer round, one has 18 and one 24, do you skip stitches on one?

Im so confused regarding the jam cookie. The bottom layer has 24 stitches and the top layer has 18.. how do you crochet them together? Do you take 2 stitches in every 6th stitch? how does 18 dc in the top jam cookie line up with a bottom cookie that finishes with 24 stitches. I've watched this over and over again. Am I missing something??

When you say to make a slip stitch in the second chain from the hook & continue to make 5 more slip stitches, are you making those 5 more in the same chain (all the slip stitches in the second chain from the hook)?

I'm not understanding how you're getting so many stitches to make slip stitches in? And as you are crocheting, your fingers are covering up exactly what you are doing so its hard to follow along. I have even slowed down the video & still am not able to SEE what you are doing. It's really important that I learn this project. This past Christmas, my daughter seen a snowflake hanging on the window of a business & she text me a picture of it & asked if I could make it. Yours is quite similar if not exact. I'd like to be able to crochet it, show it to her & depending what her response is, I'd like to crochet a bunch of them & surprise her just after Thanksgiving but before Christmas. Could you please help me accomplish this goal by explaining & showing your work more clearly as you are crocheting? Please? Or is it not beginner friendly?
