Never thought using the board like that could be used as an actual tool for learning instead of just messing about. I'm going to bring this idea forth to the other guys at our local club. Also, is the dude with the hat your coach? His vibe is all smiles, seems like a good guy
@mylobaker3 ай бұрын
@@T3n50r yeah his names rob, its actually like a youth group thing he runs a few times a week with a couple others helping out. its called the boarding school and yeah hes a super nice guy to skate about with.

@@T3n50r i think the board on feet could be used for learning to be honest its quite cool to get used to the feeling of spinning around and getting into grinds and how they feel
@T3n50r3 ай бұрын
@@mylobaker For sure, that's what I meant with my comment. We did it to joke around when I was a teen (duktaped our feet to the board) but I didn't really consider it as beneficial for learning as well when used correctly like you do in this edit. We're doing free lessons (aimed at children mostly but everyone is welcome) on certain dates this week. I was thinking about mentioning this as a potential thing to do next year for those that are in the process of learning higher ollies and/or 180s/rotations etc. It's a really good idea/concept tbh, I just never thought about it like that before. Good shit, dude

@@mylobaker do you think it'll help with BS180s? I got every basic trick down except that
@mylobaker3 ай бұрын
@@SPRAKATTACK i mean i think the trick to bs180 is to swing round hard and jump in front of you where the board would usually land, i think this would help with the feeling of rolling away from it in fakie but the actual technique just takes time i reckon

yeah im planning on making longer length videos but just trying to find a camera and time to get out and film since everybodys super busy at the moment. thank you for the feedback!
@T3n50r3 ай бұрын
@@mylobaker When I'm by myself and feel like filming something I just position my phone on my backpack or something like that and let it record. Then delete the footage after 10-15 mins if I don't land anything and start recording again. Could be its own series like "Solo skating" or something like that if you still want to record something for KZbin or whatever. Definitely not the same as skating with others tho. I'm just brainstorming some ideas in case you still want to get out there and get something down.

@@T3n50r yeah doing solo skating videos could be a good idea, im not too good personally so could just show off progress and learning new tricks
