How do we achieve consistency across videos? Same character, same surroundings...

Honestly, there’s not a great way to do this yet. I made another video on consistent characters but consistent surroundings are really tough. For each video, I have to generate sometimes up to 50 images per scene to get one that looks similar enough. I do it all in MidJoueny using SREF (style reference) and CREF (character reference)

@@EasyStartAI I do the same. It's so time consuming and it gets expensive. We have no guarantee we will get something close. I think it's great for single scene, but for story telling, it is nearly impossible

I meant to mention that in the video but that’s was actually Runway’s lip sync feature. After generating video there’s a little button that says “lip sync”

How do you expect people to do several prompts if it takes about 6 days to get just one of 5 seconds?? And when I reported this to the company with the screen capture, they answered me 14 days later. This company is the most unprofessional thing I’ve ever seen not only in AI, but in general.

Nice tips! Thank you! I threw together a "Jack and the Beanstalk" video using all AI generated images and videos. Very difficult to work out consistency and sometimes it just didn't work, but did get some learning lessons.

I’m working on something now similar to this. It’s not perfect but it could work. I’m using MidJourney CREF to create a consistent character (I have a video on that) and testing out Runway and Kling to make a short video.

Since enhance has changed from launch you might need to redo all of this. As far as training Claude on the user docs, that might not be the best strategy - only about two of those camera terms work in Luma at the moment (any better than chance). I'm really not sure why that list is in the docs

Thank you! You can queue 5 clips (10s each). It will generate the first three concurrently (2-3 mins) then move onto the final two (so 5-6 mins for 5 clips). I’ve been really pleased with the amount of generations I can produce relatively quick.

Yep! I typically generate 4 simultaneously. It takes about 2-3 mins for each to generate and I’ve done this with over 1600 generations. No rate limiting or slow down experienced.

Oops! That’s actually Runway as well. After generating an image you’ll see a little “Lip Sync” next to the generation and then you can upload your audio and generate. I recorded my voice in Eleven labs so I could give it a proper cadence, selected a “cowboy” voice and that was it. Did the same for the voice over in that elemental video.

Loved your second video. I've spent a fortune on failed Runway videos-gone-wrong. They claim it's just us not knowing how to prompt, but i don't know . . . You're probably on to something. You need to adapt to the app's interpretation of your prompts. If you spend couple of hundred bucks, you may get enough experience to learn how to make it work. Like you, I also suspected it needs a very hi-res photorealistic image from something like Midjourney to start with. I'm betting on Luma until we discover what Sora can do (are they just waiting to see all the fails first?) Kling is a possibility but they aren't there yet and as they improve, prices will probably approach Runway levels. Sorry for your pain and expense struggling with Runway, but glad we could all profit from your experience. Your tips were great!

Thank you! I entirely understand where you’re coming from. You’re right (at least I believe) that it’s not from “not knowing how to prompt.” It’s a super cool platform but when you’re paying up for it and can’t complete the scene you wanted, it can create a frustrating experience.
