Edited: Hi, actually 3 speeds where available just a few months in the beginning, it was around 15 years ago… The current standard number of speeds is 2. You can control them throughout a switch called S1. The bottom position means point OFF = when the humidity and than timer features end and than finaly RPM is zero. The second option is position of S1 is at point ON = when after finishing humidity & timer features the RPM are about 40% of maximum, and they are permanent 24 hours a day (lower values 17dB, 4W)

Hello, Thanks for this question. Sometimes that happens if you have model GT (Glass Timer). I think we didn’t meet that problem at Modell GTH and never at Modell G at all. I think you have got a residual voltage at your local grid (so called induction). Those reasons might be different. LED Backlit switch, or you have residual voltage on your LED lamps or LED lighting fixtures, Too long wires from circuit breaker etc. Sometimes helps, when you change LED bulbs for another brand or type. What would I recommend (The cheapest option which usually helps without having to change bulbs or lamps) is try to put RC element (Resistance element with Capacitor), 1 pcs of 100nF 120kOhm is usually enough. We use to use that RC element because of flickering LED floodlights for more years. Regarding to CATA fans, you have to use it in front of the terminals SL & N, it doesn’t matter which way you turn it. Let me know please, if our information is helpful. I'd like to suggest you try to find respective official distributor in your country, it should be able to help you ... cata as a part of cna group is too huge company to communicate directly with particular customers, imho... or try to call exactly that company you bought a device from, i think they should be wiiling to help you too, even if the chaotic end of the year is running

Dobrý deň, predpokladám, že sa jedna o naindukované napätie vo vašej inštalácii a na servise sa to neprejaví. Zmerajte napätie, možno bude na prívode k ventilátoru 80V pri vypnutom spínači. Ventilátor potrebuje / očakáva 230V, alebo 0V. Najjednoduchším riešením je predradiť pred ventilátor kompenzačný člen (asi 2x2cm). Ten sa používa napr aj k odstráneniu blikania LED reflektorov. Indukciu spôsobujú LED svetelné zdroje, niekedy aj dlhé trasy od ističa k ventilátoru atď. Ďalším riešením je prevádzkovať elektronické zariadenia (mikrovlnka, ventilátor apod.) na inom okruhu ako sú LED svetelné zdroje. Niekedy možno postačí len vymeniť LED žiarovku za iný typ či značku.

Hi Pepe, depends on more factors, e.g. we have set up at 3mins and 60% during school year and at 45% during the summer holidays ... it depends also on how many users of shower is there per day, how warm water they use ... if you prefer a permanent running you can have that switch S1 at position ON (permanent running at lower RPM - it costs just 2,50 EUR / year for electricity consumption in Slovakia), but often it is not necessary when thanks to chimney effect and ball bearings a fan works by "self - extraction" :) at the flathouses - you can notice it when window is open in the next room .... hope this helps

yes CATA hasn't fan for 12V in its portfolio, it has all products for 230V supply

Hi Frank, regarding that connection - you don't need any special tool, small flat screwdriver is enough ... just push that grey element down, keep it and put wire inside, then release element, that's all. Anyway if you want to use also Timer feature you need 3 wires: L - permanent phase, SL - switching phase and N - neutral wire - this is valid for all timer fans regardless of the brand or model. Another condition is to have a correct connection in switch and electrical box ... We recomend use to service by qualified electrician for many different reasons of course :-) Frank, let us know pls if these information are useful, thx

not enough of information sources but : possibly you can try to change SL vs L e.g., you can check data you have set upped (hygrostat, timer, switch ON/OFF), but another issues might be there - tell me how you control that device - what type of domestic switch you use (exact ordering number would be great) and whether this switch has LED backlighting for example ... thx

thnak you for your responce ok so i have an xpelair lv100t fitted in my bathroom it works via the light poll cord also has an on off switch located outside the bathroom . it stays on for around 15min ouce the light is turned off via the cord . it has wired up via a live and neutral . i diconected the fan and wired up the cata in the same manor, live and neutral , the led lights up but only flahes . i tryed moving the switch up and down on the unit (i think this controls the timer ) also played about the the speed control still noth . i then thougt the fan was broke . so i then wired up the unit using a pluged in feed from the wall and the fn kicked in and works . its just when i use the wire feed already fitted in the bathroom it dont work . i hope i have given you all the info you need . that you very much for you tim and help

The best way is invite to electrician because of particular wiring at your flat / house ... of electrical box, switch etc. Btw when display is flashing you probably might changed SL vs N wire ...

thank you for your question - when S1 is ON - fan is running permanently 24/7 at lower RPM, when S1 is OFF - fan is stopped unless it is controlled by timer or hygrometer at that moment. Hope this helps
