That's a very small area for an Autocross course. Has your club looked for a larger venue?

@@michaellegere4823 yes they’ve been hunting for a larger venue for 10+ years. The possibility of larger lots are all being taken up by sporting events or shopping centres around here. Even Vancouver area has less and less access every decade for large parking lots

I had Sea Suckers for our bikes. They never let me down but they always made me nervous. I assume they worked well for you?

why not use sidewalk chalk to drawl out the track? If it was allowed, I'd take the time to do it during the track walk. It would help keep people from missing a turn.... and it would be safer knowing where you can and can't go. Newer drivers would be able to focus on driving more then worrying about where the track is!

Thank you for the feedback. Definitely part of the plan, I just need a mount figured out down there and lighting. Left foot braking for sure though!

I co-drive with my wife. This way she understands why I love to autocross, and she has learned how to drive faster. In 2023 She won 3rd place in the Midwest NCCC for women.

That’s so good to hear! Congrats to her. I’m trying to get my wife into it but she wants to start with a car with less than 600hp… 😅 a little intimidating for her

What are the odds that the fastest drivers are usually in the lightest cars and already excel at handling from the factory... Miata's should be in there own class. I bet he wouldn't be the fastest in a pickup truck.

Autocross has classes....within those classes there are PAX multipliers. No car will 100% equal except SSC class where its only brz, frs, gt86 with limited mods. And he is fast in every car. i have seen him drive in multiple cars, he is very fast in all of em

Ha! I was going to ask the same thing! I would like to know if the driver somehow made that slalom entry...and why the video was conveniently cut at 3:53 😆. I'm not saying I am any better at AX (in fact, I'm definitely way less talented), it was just ironic that a clip showing how to do AX was with an "expert" driver who clearly was about to miss a slalom entry point.
