I love Ozzy....my favorite singer/band and Jake E Lee is an amazing guitarist.....I would respectfully disagree with this being the BEST live performance of this song ever though. Randy has several knock your socks off live renditions of his song that are leaps and bounds better. Zack Wylde has one called live at the budokan that was insane. Live and loud was also of the charts. Joe Holmes live was better in my opinion. Brad Gillis did a great job. I'd say Randy, Joe, Zak, then Jake and lastly Brad. That's just my humble opinion as a guitarist that's played this song probably 1000 times at shows.

All of Randy’s version from any show are hands down better than this , and the 1983 us festival (jakes first real concert with ozzy ) is better than this version . So the title is very misleading

What i admire most about Jake is his rhythm playing, we all can all hear and see that his lead playing is as good as anyone's, i.e.,Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Vai etc but his combination of Rhythm and lead was never to the detriment of the song at hand, brilliant showman too.

I've never herd ANYONE top Jake's version of the solo to this. The feel and timing are impeccable. Monster player. Highwire from Badlands is the best raw,bad ass, best tone, and attitude of any Rock song ever in my opinion. Guitar teaches can make lots of lessons from just the opening riff, nevermind the rest! It's the reason I started playing 30+ years ago!

He’s not as technically or melodically gifted as Rhoads. He’s not as precise a picker or fluid a shredder as Nuno. He’s not an otherworldly alien marvel like Vai or EVH. But goddam, when Jake is sounding great and playing well, there’s some much excitement, danger, and fun in his work. It’s not effortless - the effort is part of the thrill. It’s like how Wolverine isn’t the most powerful superhero, but there’s nobody I love watching more.

More importantly Jake wrote two great records with Ozzy and company. He did his own style. Not a fan of Zacks style But do like the first album he was on. Some good songs there to.

0:49 How did Jake make that noise, well I probably couldn’t do it regardless but Jake E. Lee is my favorite guitarist, his stage presence, the fact that he was a ‘blues’ guitarist that had no choice but to be a ‘metal’ guitarist, his heritage, his guitar, he is a living legend. I wish him and Ozzy would reunite.
