Western historians such as S.P. Scott, Stanley Lane-Poole and Robert Brifault confirm that Islam had a huge impact on modern science. Lane Poole says: "For nearly eight centuries, Muslim Spain set to all Europe a shining example of a civilised state. Students flocked from France, England and Germany to drink from the fountain of learning that flowed only in the cities of the Moors." S.P. Scott has the same views as Al-Djazairi. This is what he says: “The schools of Moslem Spain and Sicily had long been the resort of students; ambitious of literary attainments and distinction, from every country in Europe. Princes of Castile and France had for generations enjoyed the benefits of the educational advantages to be obtained in the Spanish Peninsula. The proximity of the polished and luxurious towns of Sicily to the ancient seat of Roman greatness and power had produced a corresponding effect, less evident and less durable, it is true, but still most civilising and beneficial, upon the ferocious barbarism which has succeeded the cruel and shameless vice's of the Caesars. The sacerdotal order had profited more largely than all others by the learning of the Moslems. Pope Slyvester II (Gerbert of Aurillac), the most accomplished ecclesiastic of his time, whose prodigious acquirements caused him to be accused of sorcery and led to his assassination by poison.” Regarding al-Andalus, Lane-Poole writes: “Every branch of Science was seriously studied there, and medicine received more and greater additions by the discoveries of Andalusia… Albucasis (or Abu-l-Kasim Khalaf, to give him his proper name) was a notable surgeon of the eleventh century, and some of his operations coincided with the present practice. Avenzoar (Ibn Zohr) a little later made numerous important medical and surgical discoveries. Ibn Beytar, the botanist, travelled all over the East to find medicinal herbs, on which he wrote an exhaustive treatise… Astronomy, geography, chemistry, natural history - all were studied with ardour at Cordova; and as for the graces of literature, there was never a time in Europe when poetry became so much the speech of everybody, when people of all ranks composed those Arabic verses which perhaps suggested models for the ballads and canzonettes of the Spanish minstrels and the troubadours of Provence and Italy.” Unfortunately, instead of giving credit to Islam and the Muslims, modern historians instead state that Greek literature led to the enhanced civilisation of the West, which goes against what the earlier sources say. "It is the same in respect to the origins of Western poetry and literature," Al-Djazairi explains. "We find not a single reference to any Arabic/Islamic influence in any work on the subject dating after 2000." But in older books, such as the one by Robert Briffault, he (Robert) cites dozens, if not hundreds, of Western sources ranging from the 16th century - the 20th century. These sources all explain that the entire literature of the Christian West came from Islamic Spain.

we don't actually know how old Khadija RA was but she may have been much older, we don't really have detailed proofs of her age. It doesn't really matter, she was indeed a beautiful and pious woman, and helper of the prophet PBUH. The prophet PBUH had married widowed and divorced women other than Khadija RA too, may Allah be pleased with them all and enter them into Janna Firdaus.

* Don't be fooled * This is how they get you... First the tell you Allah is all about forgiveness and love and all the guys at the Mosque are friendly and welcoming. They give you a sense of belonging and meaning. next thing you know you're on a plane to Syria to join Isis and cut people's heads off until you inevitably get blown to bits by a drone. there are many religions in the world choose one that does not promote hate and the killing of every person that happens to believe in something else.

+icemanipf woah!!!!! "next thing you know you're on a plane to Syria to join Isis and cut people's heads off until you inevitably get blown to bits by a drone" do you even know the no of muslims in the world? how can all of them be heading to syria to join isis dont you think syria will be over flooded? you are free to go to the mosque and listen to the lectures if you want to know islam there is no better source of knowledge about islam other than quran, you dont need to go to the mosque or just judge by brushing whole muslims as isis. there are soo many whites who have embraced islam centuries ago like yusuf estes and others they have not yet joined isis and i dont think they will ever join cause they did study in and out of islam before they join they are among the scholars. Just read understand if you find anything evil in it then if you are good you would invite people to your religion if its the right one to follow other than criticizing other peoples religion, cause indeed hellfire is certain and so is paradise if you care enough about other they you will invite them to serve the one that made them and you( the sole creator)

Mr. Shabir, I appreciate your teaching to the Christian and Muslim seekers because you are a true scholar who understands the truth. I really appreciate your teaching when you give respect to Christ as a great spiritual truth for the Christians, Muslims and Jews. Please do pray for Zakir Naik because he is too emotional and fundamentalist and many things he doesnt understand. If you get time, teach him too. Because I believe he is not a teacher but an elementary student who does not know why he is throwing so much words without any reason. And teach him to seek God. Thank you so much.

Quran:6:122: And is one who was dead(before being a Muslim) and We gave him life and made for him light by which to walk among the people like one who is in darkness, never to emerge therefrom? Thus it has been made pleasing to the disbelievers that which they were doing

+Mrs Me dear me, prophet Mohamed never has said that he had raised the dead, but it is the revelation he had received from almighty God that will give you life after you embrace to Islam.that means you will enjoy your life, whatever it is.whether you are health or sick, wealth or poverty, etc.our creator has said in the Koran: "Whoever works righteousness, man or woman, and has faith, verily, to them will We give a new Life, a life that is good and pure, and We will bestow on such their reward according to the best of their actions." Quran: 16, Verse 97

Islam posits that humans were created, whereas biology demonstrates that humans were not created as they are now - they evolved. Additionally, the god-hypothesis itself is unscientific, as it's unfalsifiable. Religions in general postulate that there is an interventionist god, yet numerous scientific studies of prayer show that it simply doesn't work.

The "why" questions are, at times, silly in science because they imply that things have a purpose behind them. Anything in science can be explained by asking the "how" question, thus the "why" question has no purpose. For example, asking "why" it rains is just like asking "how" it rains. If we further ask "but why?!", it'd be a silly question. Similarly, we can understand how evolution happens - through natural selection - but asking "why" it happens is silly, because it's natural.

Totally agree with u dear sis... but Did the Jesus (pbuh) ever said that believe that I am God? did He (pbuh) ever said that worship me...believe that God kill me for ur sins... and about the son of God Bible is very clear that every pious person is Son of God.... and one more thing u have to understood bible is not a well preserve book. it has been change and manipulated, it is being proven by Scholars of Christianity themselves.. We Muslim Love Jesus(pbuh) by heart but worship only (Creator)
