I rarely complain about AI… I understand costs and am just thankful for an audiobook to listen to. But the sound of this AI to go with the toxic masculine personality of the male lead, coupled with the unlikely, morose scenario, is a rude turn-off. 😢

Great story but the AI narration is so bad it is hard to listen to. It makes me sad because I have been reading Harlequin books my whole life.😢

It was horrible to listen to. Seemed a decent story; but the automated narration needs work! The AI put the woman's voice for the men. Whenever the main character spoke, he sounds like a whining child. With the female character, its more masculine because the guy has such an annoying voice. Im fine with the amount of ads.

Good book but is misleading advertised that is not Ai news flash it is . At one point a foreign language is spoken in a flash from English. ❤ love the book disappointing delivery 😢

You know how really BAD acting can ruin a work? This is worse. Most of the word pronunciations are good, but the absolute crap show of mis-reading the human feelings and intonation is awful. Pitiful. I had hoped that AI would make actual improvement - not this grotesque failure. also....you choose unattractive male voices. Whiney, nasel, boyish, falsato....

The male voice is that of a boy, not a man. It is not attractive. Whine, whine, whine.("I want to make love to you" should not be delivered in the adolescent tone of a football cheer. lol ) The female voice is strident. I am actually going to say that I would prefer the old fashioned robotic voice. It doesn't pretend to be human.

Also, the AI clearly doesn’t understand the story. I assume its pronunciation of “invalid” is not an Americanism !!

The pronunciation used for 'invalid' is what Americans use to mean 'not valid' or 'faux'. i.e. "Your user code is invalid." In Texas we say 'en-VUL-id'. I have not heard another pronunciation in the USA.
