I went to ibiza twice 20 years ago. It was filled with interesting and attractive people who were there to have fun. The bars and clubs were hippie, artsy, earthy, carefree, and yet sophisticated. There was an incredible vibe, everywhere you went. Since then, Vegas/Miami-style establishments have come to dominate Ibiza. They are profit-driven, celebrity-and status-worshipping. They attract douche canoes like the people in this video. Narcissistic, boring, uninteresting people who sit around looking at their phones, taking selfies, acting like they are hot shit, spending tons of money to purchase other people’s admiration. But you cant buy fun, and you cant buy class, and you cant buy cool. So these places SUCK, and they are filled with people who suck. Most of Ibiza is now a douche magnet. Ushuaia and O Beach are the douchiest of the douche magnets. The old Ibiza is still around, and it’s still very cool. Fortunately, Ushuaia and O Beach (and others) do a good job keeping the douchey types in their very expensive pens.
