Maybe that's what I misunderstood about the hate towards it! I have never played a Devil May Cry before this one, but not only do I intend to I wanted to understand why this is not a good example of the series 😅 but similar things keep getting thrown at me in terms of the whole "this isn't Devil May Cry" side of it😂

i recently played through this game (which was the second dmc game I've ever played), and i hated it and loved it... My biggest problem with Dmc games is that the combat is fun at first, but after awhile that sh*t becomes extremely tedious... and suddenly you have enemies that you can't run pass or skip over, popping up around ever corner when all you really just want to do is continue the damn story😑.....

I definitely get what you mean whenever it comes to games where the combat is similar to this, for me it gets a little stale and it leaves a bit more to be desired but I have hope 🥺

I hated it until the moment Devil may cry 5 was announced. After that I didn’t mind it that much. I even bought it a few weeks ago. It’s not horrible but it’s not great either. I played until the part where Dante goes into his parents house and gets axe qnd the scythe and then I put the game down for a bit. Not a fan of the world turning into limbo whenever the fighting starts. Takes me out of the game. I have put the game down for now. I might pick it up again later but it definitely hasn’t hooked me.

Yeah I get that, I don't know what I was expecting but I guess it was more? I also played this game some when it came out (I believe I had it from Redbox) and I also put it down till I played it here 😅

Yeah same here. The "big" problem with DmC isn't that it was a milquetoast game made by cunts, it's that it replaced a series that has never had its potential fully realized. With the release of DMC 5 I'd be fine if they kept this series going under the "DmC" IP name tbh

Is this your first time playing a DMC game? If it is you should start with DMC (2007) and skip the second game.

Now what made this even sadder for me….was that the settlement I sent the dog to, got attacked, and after the fighting was over, she was dead. 😢. And now I was staring at the dead dog and my only thought was. I guess she isn’t an essential dog character. 😢

I've no idea how you feel about animals or how close you get to them, but Gene is a dog breeder who makes a living off of selling dogs. Thing is, in him raising them from birth, he gets really attached to them and it's hard letting an animal go even when you know you need to.. I personally feel his pain, even if he did what he needed to do to make his living😭😭

😂it's a team of 4, 3 of us are dead but the remaining person can "craft" what's needed to bring us back, but instead they crafted ammo, before realizing their mistake and leaving the game which ends it for the rest of the team😂 they slowly looked up because they likely realized their mistake
