hey brother you did just one thing wrong, first forgive my english but ill try my best for you understand, so, you have there i think 1.5mm thick wood, you should cut those plant in half, and glue then together but in opposite direction, that is done for the shield not have a very week point, just imagine that a sword or and axe hits the shield between the glued planks, it will break at first impact... hope i could explain my point of view. skal

Never have a piece of wood up against a stop and the blade at the same time with out securing it. That's a great way to send it flying.

Fascinating to see. However what a dangerous way you used that band saw, if your hand had slipped it would have been disastrous. You should have used a push stick.
