Hello! I really enjoyed this! I have abandoned my Cousin in favor of a bullet journal because I found the inability to have a blank page as I need them to be something I really need. I think this is such a great idea to be able to have the best of both worlds. Like you, I don't mind drawing them out (I find it relaxing, actually). I have sticker kits meant for the Cousin sitting here and I was wondering how to use them, but this could be a fun way to. Thanks for the inspo!

I track on goodreads and on paper. I love just being able to flip through the books i read. Im back and forth between wanting A6 or B6 slim. B6 slim is just like holding a book so im pretty sure thats a happy medium. I thought of you when i saw that stalogy is making one. Im so excited about not having to cut them down. So great!!! In my mind I want to be a one-book planner too, but.. 😅 This year, if you don’t count just plain notebooks for notes, I have 7 journals: one main A5 Scribbles That Matter -aka my brain, B6 Stalogy 1/2 year as an EDC calendar/scheduler with room for grocery lists, another B6 Stalogy 1/2 year as a personal journal and for ephemera: almost done with this one, so continuing with a cute Spartina 449 5x7: Outer Banks journal, then a travel journal for our trip to Europe (also Spartina, but this time Paris), a gratitude journal (an embroidered cover lined journal my sweet daughter gifted me), an A6 Stalogy for use as a future puppy journal, and a Collections Journal in the form of an Emshoi A5 which I haven’t even begun to develop. Whew 😊

I have been using my first hobonichi a5 cousin this year! I was using luetreumm1917 since 2017 but wanted to not have to draw out all of my calendars all the time. 😅

Late to the party, but it’s nice to find a video like this. It has a “Do I need this? No. Do I want it? Yes! I have too many pens, why am I like this‽” feel to it, which I am totally feeling right now. Same here! Future Log is what the “planning ahead” area is usually called, and probably what you were looking for, but the beauty of an empty notebook is you can make anything out of it you’d like! I’m going to use an A5 Stalogy for the second half of 2025, so I’ll be watching closely 😊

Sorry for posting on a 3yr old video, but I just watched it. I carry a pen in pocket every day. I didn't want a click pen or one with a clip as it scratches up other things I carry in pocket. I have been carrying a Machine Era Original for 4 years now. It takes Pilot G2, Schmidt Fineliner and can use the Pentel Energel refills. There are more but I don't remember off the top of my head. Mine was $45 when I bought it. I know it won't accidentally write in my pocket and since it's mostly smooth, it doesn't scratch anything in my pocket. It's a weighty pen but that's fine with me. It's easily my favorite pen for those reasons. I just got an Evergel Alloy, Pilot Limited and some Sharpie S Gels today via Amazon. One of those will become my desk pen. But nothing I can fosee will kick the Machine Era pen out of my pocket. I went down that rabbit hole a few days ago and ordered all the things that arrived today. I ordered some Machine Era pens (different styles) for Christmas gifts. Many of those take other kinds of refills. Some click, some twist and some have caps.

try tombow mono graph lite and uni one for bodies for energel and try floatune 0.5 and powertank 0.5 for ball pens (i like powertank cuz it has thich pasty ink while being smooth and yes if modded refill would fit in any pen that uses energel refill altough with a spacer)

You can print your inserts on Stalogy paper! Franklin Covey Compact page size is 4.25" x 6.75" and should work in the 25mm rings.

Editing note: when you went to voiceover it was so soft that I had to turn everything up to hear and it was still low. Planner note: I love the flexibility of just turning the page and changing something if I want to, but have done the same thing multiple times which makes me love my rings more than a bound book. Leaning more and more to going back to my rings for 2025 and just do the same thing I'm doing in the book, but in the rings because it is easier to get over the mess-ups by replacing the pages. 🤣
