Hi Matt! Quick question: I want to create a sequence for a 10-man armed ex team where the team enters from different parts of the Drill pad (like some people from the back, left, and right), but idk how to make it work after, like where to go from there, or the most efficient performance to do that with for reporting in. I want to try and steer away from a full 3x3 + commander formation as much as possible and break it up a little bit to add uniqueness, but idk what I should do in that regard either. Do you have any tips for me, or a sequence suggestion? Note that I am a yellow sling driller, and in fact the only exhibitionist in my Drill Team since we are just starting up exhibition, something that could look very clean, but is easy to do, would be perfect. Any advice would be great!

Hey! I really like the idea of coming in from all sides - just be sure to check that your competitions and performance venues will allow for it. As far as what comes next, I think that’s a matter of what your vision is but one of your best tools is contrast. Spreading out and coming in from all sides is the opposite of being compact so perhaps looking at a safe, closer order formation could provide that contrast. As far as the content for it, check out our latest video and get to thinking what effect you’d want it to have! It also applies to your formations - a traditional block formation communicates something specific but so does a non-traditional shape. Sounds like you have a great start and hopefully this gives you some food for thought!

But I specifically have my sling covered in duct tape. Lay a strip down and center the sling. Wrap the loose ends over the edges and run electrical tape down to secure. Now I can just wipe my sling clean plus I can do any color!

@DrillDynamics Жыл бұрын
The new ones from Glendale should. However, the Daisy buttplates will not without modifying the stock with a second hole.

Hey, I am wanting to buy a rifle. I was wondering if you could recommend a good rifle and where I can buy it. Also is it better to have a heavy or light rifle? Because I want the to buy the 1903 Springfield replica but idk if I should buy a light or heavy
@DrillDynamics Жыл бұрын
A light rifle is great to learn on! The ONLY one we recommend is the MAS1 Masters Level MK1 from Glendale.com. If you wanted to go heavy, a DA1903 from the same would be a great entry level rifle!

Hey Matt, so for some time now I've been trying to get my hands on a New Guard America rifle stock and handguard but since last summer New Guard America has not put out any rifle stock or handguard as a pair. I've seen a lot of drillers using colored rifles, but I don't know if those are NGA rifles or a different kind. I would really like to use a colored rifle and would really appreciate it if you could help me out, I've tried reaching out to NGA but they're no help.

Do you think you guys could make a video about color guards? Or know where to go to? I'm a second year and DT/VC, my group commander and drill commander aren't always at practices. I've been asked to teach those who are interested what it's like to be on a color guard. But I'm not the best teacher, don't really know how to explain things, and sometimes I struggle to come up with things to do during practice. Our program has started a clean slate and including myself, we only have two people offically on color guard
