Instead of foam plane, you should wedge it into one of these really trick 3D printed, EDF Strike Fighters. They’re awesome with electric propulsion, I can’t imagine how cool they’d be with an actual Turbo-Jet. Awesome video, thanks! Oh, is it possible to get telemetry from the the engines management system back to the Controller or do you limited to the plug in display?

I bought one not long after they became available and it has proved a reliable starter and runner. I initially had it in a Sebart Mini Avanti where it replaced a Jetcat P20SE which lacked the thrust for good grass take offs. I have tuned the thrust down to 35N instead of 45N as Sebart warns that 45N is a bit too much for the airframe. Engine now fitted to a Sebart L39 Albatross waiting to be flown. The part you are calling the ECU is just a connector, the ECU is actually inside the front of the turbine with the 2 solenoid valves for fuel. I have never used a bubble trap with my engine, a felt clunk in the main tank will keep air out of the fuel pipe. (I do use one on larger models where there is more room in the fuselage.) I have 4 running turbines at the moment and only one has a stop valve in the fuel supply, this is because only one engine came with the valve. The stop valve only comes in if the solenoid valves fail when refueling, quite a low probability. Excess fuel inside the engine normally happens after a failed start when the main fuel flow has started but not ignited. If you think there is fuel in the engine tilt it forward so it comes out of the intake, the internal design stops it coming out of the exhaust. I would recommend that you put the engine stop on a switch if you can to stop the need to scroll through the trim from one end to the other. Also set up your throttle failsafe setting to go below the normal endpoint otherwise the engine failsafe doesn't cut in properly. You may neded to set the throttle endpoints slightly higher than normal to allow this (relearn the setting in the ECU afterwards). I think the ECU failsafe is set to a 2 second delay to allow for a short loss of signal, if your radio is set to engine stop position for failsafe it will stop immediately, the ground display will then show it as engine stopped not failsafe. Good luck with your model and good flying just be prepared for a short delay in throttling up and down compared to i.c. or electric (much less delay now compared to earlier jets) and always keep power on on landing approach to allow for giving it power on an overshoot. Only cut to idle when the approach is just right as the delay in spooling up from idle can be too long if you need to go around, good flaps help here.

What many do not know is that every X number of hours of use it needs to be rebuilt which is usually a trip back to the factory. Just like a full size turbojet or even a high bypass turbine engine they need to be removed from the airframe and sent in for a full tear down and rebuild as per FAA or what the manufacture requires. Check with the manufacture to see what the TBM is recommended for these little beasts.

I hope you are referring to todays woke kids who have finished American schools with a grade level of sixth grade. Several presidents including George Jr. and Obummer have dumbed down the curriculum to that of a sixth grade level. Their "leave no child behind" policy’s amounted to cut educational standards instead of funding the hiring of more instructors. They also believe that an ignorant society is one that can easily be controlled. Rewind to France when the peasants made royalty a foot shorter on the top.
