Thank you so much for sharing this. It confirmed the way I thought the power valve needed to be! everyone told me it needed to be set up closed 180° they were wrong

I have the exact same problem. Three months ago, when I put the bike together, everything was fine. Then I turned the key on and the engine started clicking too. What's going on?

It cycle when you turn the ignition on to break free any carbon buidup

It was Feburary and the drain was frozen. The drain was up against an unheated hallway, but didn't seem THAT cold, so it was confusing. If its not that, try plugging the air gap and using a plunger. Good luck
