Orchestra is never loud enuf for Deaf people. My daughter, then young, played her viola in the orchestra for 5 years and my hubby and I, both Deaf, forced ourselves to attend just support and be proud of her. We heard barely a beat. I tried to find something in my hands to feel it. I hope, damn hope, the technical crew will have Deaf people to work with to develop devices without costs to allow Deaf audience to feel the orchestra. It was fascinating to watch how bows moves up/down, long and slow or quick, etc and it gives me to imagine fast and slow melody. However, never felt or heard a beat.

The Deaf And Loud Symphonic Experience was LOUD... we made sure of that, can't put loud in the title and not follow through :)

@@dpanvideos If my daughter played a viola with the Deaf and Loud Symphonic Experience, FOR SURE I would be there to finally hear!

Mentioning Harmony reminds me of my deaf group and I usually performed songs with our signs while we danced at same time at age range of our 20’s! That’s our team style as I imagined that we can do. Yes we faced challenges together like you guys said, translation, dance moves, team sync, etc. We combined different styles from each other into one together. It’s an amazing experience for us that we never forget. I understood you guys. Practice and consistency is key to your success as I say for every artist and performer. You got this 😎💪👍. Love you guys.

Ok, I know I commented already. But I love this podcast! It is relatable, I was a special education teacher, and although I have taken a break from teaching, I am going back in hopefully soon. I felt every word in my soul.

Love thos podcast. I have known Wawa since I was a kid. Awesome dancer and overall artist. Glad to be introduced to Sean. I am gonna follow. I am curious why captions are not added to this podcast? Not criticizing just not familiar with ability to do live or add afterwards. Especially if you are speaking about access. Love the podcast. Look forward to more.

First off, love this! Two amazing people making a podcast, you best believe I’m tuning in 😄 On your note about wordplay, would love to see some of your favorite signplay verses! Maybe song interpretations that you have seen/done that just hit. Thank you for elevating the community and spreading the love with interpreters. They really can make or break an experience! Finally, I was hoping to hear about some upcoming or ongoing projects that you’re working on together or individually. Maybe something to support or promote. ☺️ Such a pleasure, looking forward to the next one 🤟🏽

Hey guys o/ Love this!! I'd like to see Deafinetly Dope/Matt Maxey & Cat Brewer on, to talk with you about 'SignTheShow'. There are artists who want to know how! Exploring the steps would be helpful as interpreters are provided (for d/hh) at state level, via the venue, upon request. Some shows are global, which makes navigating the process even more tedious. How do musicians, comedians, etc ask for a sign language interpreter for their shows, to make them accessible? What is the process for them to make that request? #removetheask #signtheshow

I have done ASL signs for over 50 years (learned the alphabet), a few other signs without realizing. Many have done the sign for "so-so"when asked how they were,( everyone knows the sign for "I love you",learned a few from "Happy days" Now I go to a place for adults with disabilities/handicaps, on Wednesdays,I've been learning much more ASL.
