Do you also ride in rain? Did you modify the two cable holes at the control unit below the crank?

Hi Stephen, when you replace the street tire with Kenda 20 x 4 knobbies tires do you need to do any modification, or does the tire just fit in right away?

Gday, The knobby tyres fit no mods, but you must not exceed 30psi pressure of the tread will rub on the screws that mount the mudguards. Thks

No problems, I love the lower gearing for going through mud and slippery grass. I couldn’t go where I do without the knobby tyres. I have recently added mudguard extensions front & rear, to stop the bike and my legs from getting splashed with mud & dirty water.

@@stephenstokes3271 Thanks for the reply. I read the derailleur was sub par so I was concerned. I just took it for a 20 minute ride and though the volt reading on the C7 display changed as I rode the battery icon remained at full. I'm in the US btw.

@@zentman01 All I can say is that my bike has done lots of work over the last year in really dirty conditions. I clean the chain and lubricate with RP7 spray ( not grease ) , the gear changes are smooth and have not caused any missed gear changes. I only use P1 assist, as I can pedal with the 38 chainring rather than rely on just power from the ebike.

What tire you have on your F1000? Also do you have access on ECO mode?

Gday, I fitted Kenda 20x4 Knobby tyres in lieu of the standard 'street' tread fitted as original equipment. There are many tracks with wet , muddy , slippery grass and gravel in my area , so I feel much safer on the knobby tyres. You do need to alter some of the screw lengths in the mudguard mounts, as the new tyres are a tight fit. Also do not exceed the 30psi pressures or the tyres will rub inside the guards. I have not used Eco mode, so cannot give you any reply on that. regards Steve

@@stephenstokes3271 Hi Steve, what changes have you made to accommodate the Kenda knobby tires?

@@040501ab gday The guard clearance is really tight , so you may need to release the back guard brace from the original position and modify how it is mounted. Tyre pressure becomes critical. Over inflation will cause the tyre to rub.

@@040501ab gday I just did a gear change. I replaced the 52t chainring with a 38t, wow what a difference it makes to the bike. Chk the latest video.
