An awesome assembly of models and great painting...this has renewed my interest in 15mm WW2. Are you using mdf bases for the tanks and then rounding the edges? May I ask what size they are? Can you also recommend sizes for weapon teams and AT guns...I'm definitely doing to rebase in this manner! Thanks for posting this video...very inspiring...
@stigofthedump18114 күн бұрын
The bases are from warbases, and are the round cornered ones. Infantry are on 25mm round bases, Support weapons on 30mm Depending on how big they are, AT guns are on 40mm - 60mm bases. As for tanks, they are various sises, depending, again on how big the vehicle is. I hope that helps.

Definitly the best "Rank & File" game Games Workshop ever did. I love this game. As usual it has it's problems (Magic, Elven Kingdoms), but all in all it's a very solid and fun game.

I know I’m super late here, but what size bases do you use for 6mm? Just getting into the hobby and unsure what size of bases and how many troops per base. Thanks!
@stigofthedump1812 ай бұрын
@cademueller2054 hi, the base sizes and number of figures doesn't really matter. There are so many rule systems about its impossible to give you a definitive answer. My best advice would be to just go for something that you like the look of and go for it. Black powder and GDA2 both have nominal unit sizes, small, standard, and large. I hope that helps..🙂

Very nice set up. How has it worked out for you since posting the video?
@stigofthedump1812 ай бұрын
@PUBHEAD1 very well, I've had plenty of games, not quite as many as I'd like, but it's a great space to chill out and get some hobbying done. I'll admit it's slightly more cluttered than when I posted the video!

Amazing! Can you share any tips for adding the rhino markings? I'm struggling to paint them this small 😢
@stigofthedump1812 ай бұрын
Just a steady hand and lots of patience! But of course, you can use thansfers. The shoulder pad markings from 40k space marine kits fit pretty well. I hope that helps.🙂

Very nicely done, always great to see well painted Adlers. However, one small thing - the Hesse-Darmstadt battalions didn't have separate Grenadier & Light companies but 4 companies of either musketeers or fusiliers depending on what sort of battalion it was - however the Regiment in Spain did change to a 'French' organisation by incorporating the Light battalion into the 2 Musketeer Battalions as Elite companies
@stigofthedump1813 ай бұрын
@iainfuller5083 ah, I did read somewhere that they changed to a French style organisation, that's probably where my confusion is. But no matter. Thanks for pointing that out, always helpful to learn more when trying to navigate the napoleonic period.

How hard and fast is fire and fury with the basing ? I would like to use bigger bases that have more troops on it basically but not sure if it would impede the game.

Your models look fantastic, and very well painted. Personally I wouldn't fixate on uniform correctness. Use them for the Peninsular, Waterloo and in conjunction with the Austrians. Who cares if some times the uniform is a bit wrong or you're fielding a troop type that wasn't at that particular place in time. Nice video. I enjoyed it. - Ben.
