Animation industry has always been very rocky. Most animators (and artists) don't stay in the industry for very long due to how terrible the industry is (Long work hours and low salary). I think if there are more avenue for people to show case their animations and a chance to be professional indie animators, it might bring revival into the industry.
@cheesesculptorКүн бұрын
I can see that happening but It's probably gonna take a few more years for the generation that grew up with anime and don't see animation as just kids stuff to have the disposable income to fund Kickstarters for that kind of stuff

She still wrong. LLC in Wyoming and New Mexico can stay 100% anonymous. You only need the info of a registering agent. There are companies that provide this service for LLCs. And you can use a ghost LLC. So a ghost LLC in your state and add the anonymous LLC as a member. The ghost LLC can be hidden under a private trust. If the ghost LLC is never used for anything and ONLY the anonymous. LLC is the frontman for everything, It would be VERY hard to connect to to the ghost LLC. All of this is just to hide information. In the end its will still be passthrough Taxes so the feds will always have your info tbh.
@absolstoryoffiction6615Күн бұрын
Best you can do is make an LLC and tie it to a Trust (for California specifically) then have someone own the Trust who isn't you. But alas, that requires trust but it is the best option to stay anonymous because signing to a talent corporation is just that exact same thing.

I've got display capture for a few things but its zoomed in enough that the menus are off screen. Like one game I've been playing only runs at 420p so I have to zoom in so much that it only shows 1/4 on the screen. Other than that and my writing streams I use window capture.

I'm not checking if it's right, what you're writing, just assuming it is: A) Not everyone can that easily enter Canada to set everything up. And even if you do, you have costs to cover (fees, plane tickets, etc.). So it only makes sense to do this if you're expecting to make a reasonable amount. Because if you don't, you're better off just not monetizing. B) You need someone there to check for post in the po box, so you either have to pay someone or live nearby. So you either have more costs or need a visa. (Again, assuming you're not already in Canada.)

@ That‘s normal. As far as I know the UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland are the only exceptions in the world that require you to do this. Their thought is to protect consumers from fraudulent businesses online. So all businesses have to provide an address, if they sell goods or services to their people, so they could be sued, if needed. They are not really thinking about streamers getting swatted because of it (which does happen). And e.g. a twitch subscription is seen as selling a service, because it gives exclusive access to emotes and more.

Journaling helps me. After I do a hike or a session at the gym, I journal my mood, my feeling, my thoughts. I journal when I don't do those things or skip those things, and record my mood, thoughts, feelings. The results became obvious that I had better moods and feelings when I hiked or did the gym. Even if I was resisting and not wanting to do it, all those negative thoughts went away when I committed.

As a fatso, i had 2 moods. Hungry and full. They say never excercise when hungry. But when i started exercising when full, i had diarrhea. So i said screw the tips. And exercised when hungry. I did that for 2 weeks, And i gained a new mood. "Peckish". I can now feel the space between hungry and full. And i exercised when i am peckish. And now i no longer get diarrhea from exercise.

I've been a lazy bum until my 20s. gym memberships i just mostly just walked on the treadmill. Gave a nearby crossfit a try and that just worked for me, been doing it for about a decade now. For me the class structure works. The high monthly cost also guilts me away from being lazy and not attending classes. But yea try things, do things, find something that clicks for you! Feels like these days with so much despair in the world, so many things out of your control. Working out to me is something in your control. It's you that can pick up that heavy thing and move it. Worth it for the mental + all the other benefits lol.

Geega has no clue. I'm an unemployed visual disability subject to the legislated poverty of the Ontario Disability Support Program, awaiting the equally meager scraps of the Canada Disability Benefit. It doesn't matter what level of equipment or software one does or does not have, the Government of Ontario has put an income reporting cap that isn't even compatible to social media payout processes, the moment I earn anything incompatible to the rules and I lose disability income for attempting self-employment. I am punished by default. There isn't even a straight line on this for tax reporting purposes, and many disabilities are streamers, so I dare to guess that many aren't doing something right. Able-bodied streamers with a financially supportive family or real-world job don't have this handicap to field entry. That being said, the equipment and software factors have radically changed. Artificial intelligence is so forced on devices now that require more power, thereby being more expensive. VTubing software matches the latest technology, and the cheaper equipment is expired. To prove my point, I'm waiting on the upcoming release of the Raspberry Pi 500 keyboard, which will cost $300 and be nowhere near powerful enough to stream with at the present modle software and social media configuration requirements. To meet that, you need a Windows or Mac or Samsung technology costing thousands of dollars. The whole economy of this may be in price fixing to each generation. These companies are running on private nuclear power now. What does that tell you about the power and pricing requirements of it all? All the major North American platforms are about to collapse because the majority as low-income account holders can't afford participation in the digital economy. These platforms are too big and doomed to fail. A VTuber is a visual arts public engagement job. VShojo is a talent agency whose money and protection that the indies don't have. That's a bubble, not the baseline. Your jobs are guaranteed with your company, and your money and technology aren't an issue. Anybody not with a company is basically a street busker for spare change, which is a starving artist landscape suffering in a terms of service hellscape. You can afford a nice suit and good sounding instruments, but when the venue keeps jacking up the price to perform, eventually you just can't, and then they cancle your career to ensure you can't get back in. Greed is Titan. Titans Fall.

you never need as much money as you might think you do to do things. just make stuff. stream if you want to stream. but also ask yourself what you really want out of it if you end up sinking a lot of time and potentially money into it. if you want extraordinary success (and almost all success you see is unusual) then you can't just do what everyone else is doing

I think Geega’s right on the money. It’s not red lobster for me but I’m a very picky eater and I visit Hawai’i fairly often: most of my extended family lives there, so I’m really only visiting to see them. I enjoy being in a relatively new location and there’s a few spots I go for hawaiian specialties but I get stressed out when I’m outside my comfort zone/meeting a bunch of people I don’t see often so it’s nice to have a McDonalds to fall back on. I know I can get the exact same nuggets within walking distance of my home but I’m not there to maximize every opportunity with a new experience😅. Being neurodivergent in the way I am certainly doesn’t help, so I can’t speak for everyone, but I don’t view inhabiting a comfort zone as such a dichotomy. Giving myself the familiarity to recharge lets me be present for my family: the real reason I take a 6 hour flight.

A bit unrelated, but there is a story/urban legend about some geologists getting stuck in Siberian forest, who then found a local who decided to treat them with food his tribe used to make for winters. Basically, they marinate the corpse of the deer in the swamp, leaving it there to ferment. They get exposed to that food, since the birth, in small portions, so for them it's ok. Geologists tried that food out of hunger, got poisoned and died. So yeah. Locals might have tolerance to the food they are familiar with, for ages. It doesn't mean that you will have the same level of tolerance to that, either due to differences in diet, sanitary standards, taste tolerance etc.

I'm a bit iffy on the idea that you should do free work for a VTuber to be noticed. Not that it's necessarily wrong, but it seems too much like that "work for exposure" controversy in game journalism back in the day. Doing art of popular characters does build more of an audience, it's true. Hell, look at SirGrape's stuff for Juniper Actias. But there's got to be animators VTubers can find and reach out to if they've got a project in mind, without only picking from those that have done free work for them. I guess it's better if that artist has full rights to their own work even if it's fanart of someone else, that's the really important bit.
