23:10 - that why I don't understand why people pay some of these prices. It's such a niche market with such a low demand. It's so rare to sell a jersey from the last 10 years for the same or more than what you paid. Then again, it's rare to find anything that increases in value other than real estate.

Also I got to lay hands on a caps fanatics pro sample at the meigray table at South Jersey game worn expo. There was always a second layer of reinforcement on the elbow on the adidas. The difference now is that it is now extended down the posterior forearm making the sleeves a tad heavier. The shoulders always were made of two layer as well. The difference is that there's no dimples. And it's made of similar material as the rest of the jersey. The nhl shield has a more rubbery matte look to them which can't really tell unless you get close. Anyway, the template/cut and stitching are essentially the same. In terms of fabric. I don't think I could tell by eye or blind feel the difference. While it's probably not made of recycled plastic like primegreen (which I noticed on average gave more wear then the pre primegreen adidas), it's not like going back to the fabrics in the Reebok era.

Last time they did a big sale they had a ton of game issued jersey from prior preseasons - got a Mathieu Darche game issue slug for like $50. Was also surprised they didn't have any preseason/rookie tourney jerseys at this one. As for the sticks, I was in with the corporate partner group and there were a few high school or college aged kids who were taking a bunch of sticks each, which probably speaks for why they were more picked over by 11. That $100 price point was pretty ideal for guys looking for gear to use on ice. I got a chest protector for $150 which feels like a steal.

That was a great discussion on Vegas stuff! Side note, the Bruins gear is now starting to sit around at the high prices. So the richer collectors got all the early stuff and now unless it's Marchand/Swayman/a few players here and there, it's just sitting on the website. Including alts. I'm hopeful they reduce pricing eventually

I’d like your opinion on team repairs? Are they a plus or a minus.myself I love them.I think they add to the jersey.l have a jersey that the nameplate is made up of individual letters and 2 name plates.i also don’t mind name changes either.I would really like to talk about it.

As a younger collector, going to my first expo was eye opening (meigray expo). Also talked to a lot of the older collectors and just... I don't see how this incoming transition between generations is gonna work. Jerseys are hyper inflated in value, and the younger generation mostly doesn't want the sheer volume of jerseys some of the older collectors have, and doesn't want to pay top dollar for these jerseys that are overvalued. The hobby is gonna be hyper-condensed into a few really rich collectors in my opinion, at least for any older jerseys, as the older collectors look to move on or pass on and families have piles of polyester to move through.

The warm up pucks market has cooled since the prices have skyrocketed from $20 to $40.

I talked to Meisel at NoVA and he said he still holds contracts for the game worns for the teams that they cover. they may end at various times. but at least for those teams there's no immediate transition to fanatics running the gameworn/authentics.
