Demotivation: Yeah, plenty of times. I've reduced it by planning out EXACTLY what I'm going to animate. This means I have to do 0 thinking while animating. It's still a bit tough starting an animation, but when I start, nothing's stopping me. Falling Behind: I've been animating for over 8 years. So I think it's pretty obvious I improve far slower than most people. Slovly Anims has been animating for less than half the time that I have, and look how good he is lol. I'm not that worried about it though. I don't plan on quitting animation ever, so I'll keep improving and get good eventually.

If you're going for stickfigure animation, download Pivot Animator for pc, or StickNodes for mobile. Watch tutorials on how to use whatever app you use, 12 principles of animation by Alan Becker, and practice animating consistently (I suggest at least 0.5-1 hour, 3-4 times a week). Be creative, experiment with all sorts of movements, figures and perspectives. Look up tutorials on those as well if you want to. Don't be worried about getting famous on YT. There's luck involved in it. You won't get high views just because you put more effort in animation. So what matters more is that you have fun when you're animating.

@@Blue_Cubes_silly_animations Thanks for the response! I have been practicing my animation skills in Pivot Animator for quite a while (I haven't been that consistent tho). The main concern that I have is thinking about the long term in YT. Dealing with a lot of characters is also not an easy thing. I already have the main 16 characters that I plan to use in tournaments (Some tournaments are uploaded in my channel already, while others are ready waiting to be uploaded). I spent far too long on this response bruh 💀 1) I prefer to not disclose my reasons for this, as I consider it personal. 2) Honestly I think I will eventually be forced to, because if I ever want to host another collab or joint again, it is the best place to get entries through. But I have no plans currently. 3) America and America. A lot of the content I consumed in my childhood was made by them. I find Americans very funny, and some of them pretty sensible, even. But there are also people there who are utterly shameless, hypocritical in every aspect of life, virtue-signalling, among other things. 4) In terms of views: overrated: Mici underrated: [no-name-anims] In terms of skill (I don't know the public opinion too well in this aspect so this might not be very accurate): overrated: rasya-albara underrated: SwordBruh 5) I don't have a singular objective. I'm not necessarily pursuing it as a job either. For now, I'm mainly focused on finishing STS, but I have a LOT of other ideas which I wanna animate. a 128 stickman tournament, a whole other tournament series with crazy lore, a full-body animated series with super duper high quality animation. Some of them partially planned, so I made some empty playlists for them.

I've actually done that. Don't know if you've seen this, but if you go to my playlists sections, there's a bunch of [WORLD]'s playlists. That can be considered the official timeline for my videos. There are a lot of animations which serve no major purpose to the overarching lore (random fun/test/joint/collab entry animations), so I can't really categorize ALL of my videos, that only Green_White is close to being capable of. But the [WORLD I] to [WORLD V] playlists covert the most important ones.

1) It's my favorite color, that's all. 2) I didn't really use anything specific for reference while making it. A lot of people had stickman OCs with scarves, and I took inspiration from Shadow's limiter rings.

2016, so my 9th year is ongoing. Didn't make much animations until mid 2020 though.

I don't really "design" characters. Personality and fighting styles are taken into consideration, but I make pretty bare-bones visual characteristics. I think I'll go with Aero, if I was to choose a character which has already made an appearance in a video. I think my favorite one is actually a character who has yet to make an appearance. His name's Mauve and he has a staff-like weapon with 2 semi-circular blades on one side which can also shoot energy projectiles + other features. Will appear soon.

1) I don't really plan on making any cameos on STS, so nah. 2) I don't know what's the best honestly, but I think Black vs White 2, STS8 and STS6 are my most impressive animations. 3) You'll be eventually be able to guess, with all the foreshadowing I am and will be giving. It's a pretty small number. 4) If you think about it, it's pretty easy to guess. You've already seen IT in STS0 and STS6. 5) I practice speed-solving twisty puzzles (like Rubik's cubes), read literary/murder mystery books, plan out my ideas for STS and other long projects, walk for several kilometers for fun, listen to obscure music on KZbin with 400 views, and study computer science for college.

I review tournaments every 6 months. And for that I watch nearly every tournament that gets uploaded on KZbin. So yeah, I will.

Soon, I've been practicing it a lot since it's gonna be an event at a legitmate competition I'm participating in a month lol. Averaging at around 90 seconds currently. I have a list of 100+ characters. I plan to use around 60 for STS, a few more may be seen in [WORLD V] Extras but not in STS.

9 years ago I saw a re-upload by Locus, of a stick tournament animated by MrMcPivot. I got inspired to recreate it, so I looked for a stickman animation app and downloaded StickNodes on my iPad.

They are, in a way. But I hardly remember a time when stick tournaments were very original. Our community is not the greatest at innovation. We copied LannFinder a whole lot, then Khoruum, and now it's an amalgamation of inspiration taken from them along with Silver Soldier and Slovly anims. Animation styles I feel are varied enough in our community. Ideas/concepts/gimmicks used in the tournaments are what I consider repetitive. Is it because we are bad at innovation as a community, or stick tournaments as a concept don't have a lot of leeway for many varied ideas? I don't know. And honestly, it's not that bad of a situation. I'm content with the tournaments which are being produced.
