Thank you. Just turned 70 up in Yukon. A very long time ago this was my back yard. There was no crowds anywhere. No reservations were even possible. Carry on. Happy Anniversary

How lucky for this to be your backyard! Must have been magical to not have the crowds there, we found them quite overwhelming at times, but found as soon as we got off the main trails they thinned quickly and then it was perfect :) thanks so much for stopping by! We have few more hikes to share, hope you enjoy ❤️

Loved your trip. Let me say, though I have seen hundreds of grizzly bears after 50 years surveying in the mountains of BC sand Yukon, Canada is pretty tame compared to Australia with its snakes, crocs, sharks, did I say snakes? Anyways, carry on and come back soon.
@lettyelspeth3 күн бұрын
Haha we had a lot of these comments when we were talking to Canadians about our bear and elk worries! We have the small bitey killy things, and I realised how many things I do without even thinking about it throughout my day to avoid negative interactions with them haha. It’s funny what you grow up with and the comfort levels isn’t it. We only saw two bears when we were in Canada and all was well! Glad you are enjoying it ❤️

I like videos like this. I went through Lake Louis on my way home to Oregon from log building school in Prince George BC. It was near end of February so everything was frozen. It was a fantastic place.

@lettyelspeth perfect. We are aiming at arriving in September. Yes, looking at renting a van style rv as it's just the two of us. A little apprehensive about having everything we need for camping when you can only pack so much in your suitcase from AU.

i love this!!! we are about to start our journey with a rooftop, but cant figure out how to put our 14 month old in, do you cosleep? or have a bed setup? would love some tips & tricks
@lettyelspeth2 ай бұрын
You will love it!!! We cosleep with our little on in the RTT. He usually goes between us, but he was a bit older (2) when we started. You may feel more comfortable with your little one on your side, and then being in charge of safe sleep with no pillows and in control where blankets go. We did a bit of cosleeping at home too so were comfortable and confident with it. We would have a sleep time bag too, to throw up each night that had pjs and a nappy bag in it so you have all the stuff you need in one area. So excited for you!! Happy to answer any questions you have too :) xx

Thanks for stopping by! You are so lucky, you live in a beautiful corner of the world. Ahh this can always be the case in your own backyard, there’s certainly places at home that travellers look and find that we haven’t discovered yet. And in your defence you have so many wonderful places, it would be hard to know about all of them. We found it overwhelming trying to pick where to go and what to do, too many amazing options. You should definitely pay this place a visit, such a beautiful spot, so private and tranquil.

Hello. How many sleepers fit max?
@lettyelspeth5 ай бұрын
Hey, it’s the size of a king bed so is quite spacey. We fit 2 adults and a toddler quite comfortably. I think you could fit 2 adults and two smaller children with ease.

I set my Darche up folded out the back of my hilux tray, can cook on tailgate in any weather, can do short drives with tent up, less windage in high winds
@lettyelspeth5 ай бұрын
That’s such a good idea! We have thought about it a few times, and so handy if you want to move your car/tent a smidge. And top tip with less windage in high winds too. I never sleep well when it’s windy (even in a solid house) after sitting out a cyclone a few years back.

@@fliss362 right?! We were so surprised how cool it was in there, even in the middle of the day in Queensland summer. And as you said, toasty in winter too.
