Cheers pal, I had a 2wd moonstone saph same time I had these 2 but 3 was too much😢 parking them up and the maintenance with no garage, I got £2.500 for the saph with leather,, I’d buy it back for 5 now 😂 just for the spare parts, love auralis blue best colour imo mines on 65.000 now ,, it’s had a new 200 bottom end from Ford probably one of the last that was available at the time, thanks for watching pal and best of luck with yours

Started my journey in mk2 fiesta xr2’s mate , then onto mk4 rs turbos I couldn’t image what it’s like to buy a modern Ford fiesta in 2024 😮..they are tuned up faster than the cosworths of the day, focus 5 cylinder turbos are another modern hot hatch and readily available like the fiestas and escorts were, the focus is so much more car than the classics, If I was to choose now I’d prob buy an st 3 over a classic Ford,,absolute speed machines Thanks for watching mate

The hooks on the grab handles are supposed to be pointing upwards , because of when you hang something on them (for example, an item of clothing on a clothes hanger) so it doesn't slide backwards and forwards. Nice headlining install.

@@c111prs I have a 1997 Ford Fiesta MK4 1.25L 16v and I replaced the headlining on mine a few years ago. The mistake I made was to cut the material literally to the shape of the board as that is how it appeared on the original saggy one, without the overlap. I plan to do it again soon, this time with the correct overlap and in the darker grey colour like the original. You live and learn.

Used the clocks just for a Speedo so mine didn’t get shagged and full of dust, fuck me what’s it not had done more like pal😂 windscreen out and A pillars replaced , fuel filler hole replaced welded inner and outer , front roof line welded in 2 areas (where the rubber sits) , roof painted , rear quarter painted , rear bumper painted , new battery tray fitted and painted , hole in trans tunnel welded up , and painted , door appartures welded and painted It’s never lived in a garage, all weathers outdoors car always has been , it’s a low miler too😂 67 thou but even its first 8 thousand miles were wet outdoor ones as it’s a ex Ford demonstrator lux car with twin airbags , I’ve got its history

@@c111prs Finaly found the groove on the flywheel for the mark LOL, had issues rotating engine by hand seems it was getting stuck on something, So I loosed the cam pins and rotated till I could free the lower end to get it to mark, then I ll retime the cams

@c111prs new issue lol, I've got everything timed and new chain and all that but engine is very hard to turn around by hand, gets to a point and gets stuck, now after inspecting it's not the engine itself it's the crank oil drive sprocket has play in it seems to get stuck at somepoint judging by the large wear marks, with cover removed and testing I can see it has play around the sprocket it's supposed to drive, spins on the crank perfectly without the gear

Yes pal I just put live and neg straight from the battery direct to the pump to test it , positive is on the right side terminal if your in front of it on the car

These were actually designed as left hand drive I think. Most heat sensitive equipment is siting on the left side of the engine in left hand drive cars. Cable operated clutch is another example. Same for the center diff and transfer box in 4x4. They are on the right side in all cars.

@@jjt1093 there’s a little hole in the case underneath you can get a drill bit In to lock the flywheel Youl have to manually turn the engine to you can get it in, I also marked the teeth with paint ,,there’s 2 spring loaded tools to lock the camshafts but if you undo the caps front and back on the head you can see with a mirror if they are in time with the crank once you’ve locked it ,if you struggle with this you can get a cheap kit with the flywheel lock pin and spring loaded cam locks on e bay for less than £20

@@jjt1093 there’s a window you can open on the timing chain cover to inspect the chain ect , you need to remove the drivers side engine mount first to get to it , just make sure the engine is supported before you remove the engine mount

Another silly question, I cutt the exhaust off so thats out the way, But the flywheel cover plate, I had 2 sunken bolts and 1 that went throught to the bell housing and 2 for the web? that goes across the oil pan, is that it ? mine wont budge to come off

I had 6 torque bolts to undo I’m sure 4 bolted to the engine block and there’s 2 green bolts going into the gearbox case the longer green is found at the front the other is smaller so they need to go back in order

Problem is you only have 1 crack at it as the glue sets immediately. That’s the hardest part. Was expecting you to put Rolls Royce star lights in the headlining 😮

That’s exactly what I found mate, it dried very quickly and once it’s down it doesn’t like coming back up, the foam can tear off the fabric, when I was considering the black fabric I did mull over starlighting it like on a rolls😂if I had a spare headliner board I’d have prob had a go

Nightmare job. Best is 2 man, one holding the cloth up while the other smoothes it on. Steam helps get any indents out.Do the rest of the holes before fitting, or might might struggle to find them... just saying 😅

This sounds silly but take the cap off and hit the plastic reservoir a few times with the other side of a screwdriver don’t crack it though. Put the cap back on and it will work. My dads old school method from his rs500 days. Try it let me know

@@Adam151082 light comes on if you lift the handbrake now and if low fluid on both my units , when the pump was dead the dash warning light was on all the time Adam , when I had a pressure switch blown it didn’t even light up on the dash warning light not nothing no pump or any life , I had the loom out and everything before I found it was a switch ,,as pump still ran with battery direct to it with the blown switch still fitted hope that makes sense

I told you master cylinder way before. Got my cup of tea going to chill watch this to see the outcome 😊👌 Ohhh No… I feel for you man just watched it and Brake light is on but brakes work easy fix…. The brake lamp switch not being plugged back in, or the brake lamp switch has failed. It's mounted to the master cylinder, so it's easily damaged or forgotten when doing that job. Try cleaning the plug that goes to the switch or the bit on the master cylinder. Can you just swap over switches from one Master to the other? Or… If you bled the brakes and have good pedal, there may be other things going on. Some older cars have a shuttle valve in the system that is suppose to sense loss of fluid in one corner or end of the car. When you bleed the brakes, that shuttle within the valve can move which triggers the brake warning light. Find a manual for your car, it should have a process to re-center the shuttle. Or take it around the block when bled the rears and fronts again the brake light might just go off, Let me know 👌🏼

You dont need to take off full exhaust mate but it was in the way a bit and I’d had it apart before, crank cover has to come off yes mate and the sump, best of luck with it and sorry for the late reply

@@jjt1093 I took my exhaust off in 3 parts , back box first then the centre, if you can get to that stage Youl get more pry or wiggle from the centre section, the flexi hose on mine was fairly new so it took the abuse to separate them, one lace you get that first bit of movement, keep chipping away maybe a hammer as well as shaking and twisting it

Quite the challenge finding discontinued smoked lenses mate 😢 got 1 from speed shack been on the shelf 12 years I think he said and 1 from rs cosworth breakers .. again he almost fell over too when I asked him 😂 his had been on the shelf ex display for about 15 years, even the fog lights are smoked on my escort 😮 imagine the chance of finding a pair of them nowerdays

@@c111prs That’s crazy as my dad had the rears smoked and square side repeaters. The fronts he had a pair of smoked had 2 pairs and they got cracked so he used his spare set. They were by AutoArt Germany he purchased them from ProSport Melton Mowbray back in the day. I would contact them see if they still have any. Lucky find 👍

Need to bleed the brake fluid via the callipers with fresh fluid. I think the master cylinder is on the way out if bleeding don’t fix it 👍
