The MK10 is very elegant and was the widest production car in the UK, wider than a Rolls Royce.

Strange rear lights on that Cowley.....Off a modern Mini by the look of it. Would have been better to use actual Mk1 Mini units if flashing rear indicators were the objective and with far less body deformation.....

Both planes could carry almost identical bomb loads internally. But the Lancaster was loaded for much lower altitudes and shorter ranges.

I’ve seen this on a cover of a kit car book before. It’s a VW McLaren replica right?
@grahambell429811 ай бұрын
Sort of. It's a modified UVA McLaren M6 replica, though it looks like the V8 rather than the VW version as you can see the air filter through the rear screen. Was used in (and I assume was built for) an old TV commercial where it purported to be a 'Soviet supercar'

The tram system in Sheffield, United Kingdom, is a testament to the city's commitment to modern and sustainable urban transportation. Sheffield, known for its industrial heritage and picturesque landscapes, has seamlessly integrated a modern tram network into its urban fabric. This system, which began operating in 1994, has since become an integral part of the city's public transportation infrastructure. Sheffield's tram network is renowned for its efficiency and convenience. It consists of three main lines that connect key areas within the city: the Blue Line, Yellow Line, and Purple Line. Each line serves a unique purpose, catering to the diverse needs of Sheffield's residents and visitors. The Blue Line, often referred to as the 'Supertram,' is the backbone of the system, running from the northern suburbs to the southern reaches of Sheffield. This line connects major hubs like Sheffield Station, Meadowhall Shopping Centre, and the University of Sheffield, making it a vital artery for commuters, students, and shoppers alike. The Yellow Line, on the other hand, extends to the eastern suburbs, providing a crucial link to areas like Crystal Peaks and Halfway. It's a lifeline for residents in these neighborhoods, offering them an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional car commuting. The Purple Line, which branches off from the Blue Line, serves the western suburbs, including Malin Bridge and Middlewood. This expansion has further enhanced connectivity within the city, reducing congestion on the roads and decreasing the carbon footprint of Sheffield's residents. One of the standout features of Sheffield's tram system is its dedication to sustainability. The trams are powered by electricity, which is largely generated from renewable sources, making them an eco-friendly mode of transport. Additionally, the low-floor design of the trams ensures accessibility for all passengers, including those with mobility challenges. Sheffield's trams have not only improved transportation but have also played a vital role in revitalizing the city's urban landscape. The tram stops are strategically located near popular destinations, encouraging people to explore the city on foot and supporting local businesses. The system has become a symbol of Sheffield's forward-thinking approach to urban planning. In conclusion, the tram system in Sheffield, United Kingdom, is a shining example of a city's commitment to modern, sustainable, and efficient public transportation. It connects residents and visitors to key areas, reduces traffic congestion, and contributes to a greener future for this historic city. Sheffield's trams are more than just a means of getting around; they are a testament to the city's progressive spirit and dedication to creating a better urban environment for all.
